About Koh Samui

The place to string up a hammock between swaying palm trees on a golden beach, Koh Samui is Thailand's 2nd largest island floating in the Gulf of Thailand. Koh Samui is awash in coconut groves, stunning sun drenched beaches, lush dense mountainous rainforest, as well as decadent luxury resorts and wanky spas. Geographically it is in the Chumphon Archipelago that forms part of the Surat Thani Province with a population of around the 63,000 mark. Coworking spaces have opened their doors on this tropical island paradise to cater not to just its innovative locals but to the hordes of tourists that congregate in quite often sun-burnt bliss at one of the many rustic bars on the beach.

Koh Samui caters to everyone whether you want to wallow on warm sand during the day, party on the beach all night or sit in self-indulgent luxury in an exclusive spa.
From simple Thai dishes of super hot regional curries to fresh seafood still flapping on your plate, there will be a restaurant or a street cart waiting to satisfy your hunger pangs. There are serious places along the beach for those sunset drinks when a blazing red sun slides into the water and plenty of coconut trees that you will have to dodge the falling coconuts. You can do a bit of yoga on the beach, learn tai chi or have a traditional herb steam or massage.

Koh Samui is no digital hub such as Chiang Mai or Bangkok, but there are tech savvy souls meandering the shorelines. Coworking is a perfect fit for the wannabe entrepreneurs on the island, as it gives them somewhere to gather in collaborative bliss with the option of running away for a quick dip in the ocean when they feel like it.
