About Hoi An
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the beautiful city of Hoi-An has more than 2,000 years of history to explore. Grand architecture mingling Japanese merchant houses, ancient tea warehouses and Chinese temples are invaded by the throngs of tourists that visit its riverside setting with residents and businesses gradually taking over its lush lime green rice fields. But you can escape the city bustle on Cam Nam Island and throw yourself back in time with the charm of this city while finding a great coworking space to stay productive and inspired.
The city is a magnet for professionals and wandering freelancers for its living affordability and its mouth watering street food that you will pay a pittance for. Here you can scoff its local specialties of cao lau (fat noodles served with pork and mint) or white rose shrimp dumplings whenever your brain goes into overload with work and you want to run out the door chasing some sustenance. If you merely want to vegetate and sip a coffee whilst absorbing the city's beauty there are plenty of French inspired cafes overlooking the river. You will never get tired of walking the alleyways and streets when seeking inspiration or a touch of connecting with the locals.
Hoi-An is a safe city where you can walk around during the day or at night and crime is not on the agenda unlike Ho Chi Minh or Hanoi. Rental houses are cheaper in Hoi-An than Danang, which is only about 15 minutes away sitting on the beach. The Central Market or the local markets are the perfect shopping venues for fresh local produce so you can brush up on your Asian cooking skills. Sitting close to Ang Bang and Cua Dai beaches where you can splash around in crystal clear water or worship the sun on white sand, you are not far from a seaside playground.
Hoi-An has a bustling coworking scene with many new places opening up to satisfy the demand of the local professional expats and the meandering nomads.
