About Dulan
One of the main drawcards for this funky little village is surfing. With a small local community of locals, expats and meandering souls carrying laptops, coworking spaces are being created to satisfy the demands of the innovative minds hanging out in this slice of heaven. A town with a vast array of accommodation on offer, great cafes and restaurants and a plethora of interesting characters lurking, it is also a magnet for big-city kids who drop out of the rat race to open guest-houses or expats to set up studios in abandoned buildings.
Motorbikes whizz past you in the streets, hitchhiking is a common sight and buses pass through the town on an hourly basis heading in each direction. You can head out of your coworking space to the black sand beach on a coffee break or when your brain is about to implode you can wallow in the ocean or sit in one of the many cute cafes sipping espresso and clear your mind. The Dulan Sugar Factory houses a prominent artist community and comes alive at the weekends with music performances.
Dulan is a secret surfing paradise, a remote getaway for travelers and a quiet seaside town for the locals. Little more than a short main drag with a paved road running up the mountainside, the town is gaining popularity as somewhere to escape to. Now with the added benefit of being able to work in a coworking space, you can still earn the money to buy that must-have surfboard.
