About Crans-Montana

A municipality in the district of Sierre, it was formed in January 2017 when the former municipalities of Chermignon, Mollens, Montana and Raddogne merged to form the new municipality of Crans-Montana.

The name Crans-Montana also refers to a ski resort that was created through the fusion of the two centers of Crans and Montana. Both sit at an altitude of 1500m on a sun-soaked plateau above the Rhone Valley. Together they form one of the biggest holiday destinations in the Valais region and as such, hordes of tourists take time to holiday here. Coworking has appeared in the streets to give the intrepid locals somewhere to get their work done when needed rather than having to find a chair in one of the many local cafes.

These 2 towns have heaps to offer apart from the mindboggling view of mountain peaks from Matterhorn to Mont Blanc. A combination of an idyllic mountain village and an alpine town, Crans-Montana oozes natural charm and a dynamic vibe, as it is the place for shopaholics to rejoice. It has the most extensive alpine shopping for miles so that you can trash your credit cards, a huge number and variety of accommodation offerings and a fabulous cultural and congress center. This is a town that hosts major sporting events with a reputation as being a golfing mecca. You have 5 lakes to choose from when you wish to take a dip in the water and mountain forest trails to hike along listening to the wild creatures around you.

With such an influx of tourists happening it is no wonder that coworking venues are opening up to cater to those who may need to get some work done in between a bit of mountain climbing, skiing, paragliding or cozy fondue evenings in rustic bars.
