Just north of Frankfurt at the foot of the Taunus Mountains, Bad Homburg has been treasured for its healing baths since the 19th century, when it hosted royalty from across Europe and the world. Of course they also came for its casino, sometimes called "the mother of Monte Carlo." Today, both the original Spa Park (or Kurpark) and the Bad Homburg Casino are still there, and visitors also enjoy Bad Homburg Castle and its White Tower. Just northwest of town is Saalburg, a restored Roman fort.
Despite its historical roots, Bad Homburg is also keeping pace with the times. With a population of about 52,000, Bad Homburg ranks among the foremost business centers in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main region of Germany. Nationally and internationally operating companies are headquartered in the town, drawing guests from all over the world to attend conferences and meetings. The city makes a wonderful place for digital nomads, remote teams, and enterprises to relocate to, particularly because of its welcoming community and business opportunities. Plus, there is a whole host of cultural events throughout the year in Bad Homburg, ranging from major classical cultural events such as the poetry and literature festival, the FUGATO organ festival, or the “Blickachsen” open-air exhibition featuring large sculptures in the park, to numerous concerts, exhibitions, and theatrical performances.
