About Prerov

A city snuggled onto the banks of the Bečva River; Prerov is in the Olomouc Region with a population of 47,373. It's only 22km from Olomouc and historically was a major crossroads in the center of Moravia. The city is still a major railway junction giving its locals easy access to Prague via Olomouc, Warsaw via Ostrava and Vienna via Břeclay, plus there is a regional line to get you to Brno if the fancy takes you. The hub of the town is wrapped up in the T.G. Masaryk Square that is awash in historical buildings and where you can poke your nose into the Comenius Museum. Prerov dates back to prehistoric times and it's where you will find a world-renowned prehistoric Stone Age site. First mentioned in writing in 1141, today it has coworking venues in its streets for its creative and intrepid tech savvy locals to run to or for the students who want to get industrious.
The Czech startup scene is on the rise with companies such as Avast and AVG with roots in the Czech Republic. It seems that every day there are new startups emerging with plenty of job vacancies for skilled IT workers. With a population of around the 11-million mark plus a new hip name "Czechia", the country is seeing startups patenting their know-how and registering brands bringing their ideas into the realms of reality. Many innovators in the Czech Republic are in the fields of financing and IT, but there is a broad spectrum of markets happening such as "Mooveez" which teaches you English by watching movies or "Neuron Soundware" that uses sound to detect a mechanical issue.

Coworking spaces are packed with good vibes, have flexible atmospheres and plenty of knowledge sharing amongst its community before they head off to indulge in their mother's "sekaná pečeně " (think baked meatloaf of pork and beef with lashings of bacon, onions, garlic and an assortment of herbs).
