About Wimborne

Referred to simply as "Wimborne", this city's actual name is "Wimborne Minster". A market town sitting in East Dorset in the southwest of England, Wimborne is located where the rivers Stour and Allen meet that is about 8km north of Poole on the Dorset Heaths. With its economy based more in the leisure and tourism fields, you will find a plethora of shops to trash your credit cards at, pubs to swill down a beer and plenty of restaurants to quell the hunger pangs when you aren't busy getting creative in a coworking venue. It's home to the aerospace company "Cobham" plus it's where you will find the headquarters of the well-known decoration company "Farrow & Ball". There are numerous education institutions to cater to the tech savvy youth of its 15,552 residents who frequent the weekly Wimborne Market to collect their goodies at the weekends.

Home to one of the foremost collections of 15th, 16th and 17th century buildings in Dorset, there is also an art deco cinema and theatre, the Tivoli Theater, to gawk at. Its town hall is centuries old and many of its pubs date back to the 16th and 17th centuries for those that are into sculling their hops in eclectic surrounds.

The startup scene in the United Kingdom is said to be one of the fastest growing in the whole of Europe according to figures over the last 5 years when there has been 392,627 new tech startups launched in the country. The most growth showed up in the niche sectors of Internet, fintech and software. The UK has an attractive environment for tech businesses in that it offers great foundations and ecosystems for innovative minds to get their ideas off the ground. Coworking is but one more step in supporting intrepid brains where it's possible to connect and collaborate with likeminded souls.
