Formerly known as "Serdang New Village, Seri Kembangan sits in Selangor, Malaysia. It has a tropical rainforest climate with the city being protected by the Titwangsa Mountains in the east and Indonesia's Sumatra Island in the west. This translates to warm and sunny days with a lot of rain, especially during the monsoon season. The city was established in 1952 when the British moved the Malaysian Chinese villagers living around Sungai Besi to a central location because of the communist threat during the Malayan Emergency.
