The famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright had his winter home and Teliesin West, his architectural school in Scottsdale. You can take a tour and immerse yourself into his mind, where indoor and outdoor spaces perfectly blend together. For the budding musicians there is the Musical Instrument Museum with a hands-in Experience Gallery where you can create your own personal masterpiece. If you want to learn more about the pioneer era, then head to Scottsdale's Museum of the West where you may be lucky enough to catch a Western movie. The Heard Museum is the place to meander around to look at Native American artifacts for a bit of more historical information to file away in your brain and for the art loving crowd there is the Museum of Contemporary Art to explore.
The perfect place to put on the walking shoes and completely lose yourself in, Scottsdale is for those that like to poke around. The historic Old Town area is full of art galleries, cafes and restaurants, whilst Fifth Avenue is for the shopaholics. The Desert Botanical Garden is where you will see thousands of arid-land plants from around the world.
