A small suburban town that is a major suburb of Charlotte in York County of South Carolina, Fort Mill is home to the headquarters of numerous notable businesses such as LLC, Mood Media, Springs Industries, URS Corporation's Nuclear Center and the Continental Tire the Americas.

Once the stomping grounds of the Catawba Indians, the Scotch-Irish settlers invaded during the 1700s and a settlement soon developed. Known for its peach orchards and the Anne Springs Close Greenway - 2,300 acres of forests, lakes and pastures perfect for hiking or going for a horse ride - it is a natural protected area. You will find the only monument to the slaves that fought on the Confederate side of the Civil War in Fort Mill's Confederate Park. There are numerous buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places to explore, including the town's downtown historical district that is perfect for a bit of people watching whilst sipping on espresso in Main Street at one of the funky outdoor cafes. There are quite a few quirky and eclectic shops to traipse around and you don't have to worry if you need a haircut, as there are 8 hair salons in the main street alone.
