Coworking Space: Hubud in Bali

I rarely come to Hubud and see it empty, always full of people, gatherings, and many events, and as for being on the side of the road, if you need a quiet place, rent their room upstairs or just bring your headset. Their WiFi stability is pretty great even when their place is packed. I love their whole design and feels homey, will come back again in the future for sure.

The community.

I wasn't looking for a co-working space the first 2 times I went travelling to Ubud... what a shame, because I could have gotten so much out of dropping into Hubud at the time. During my most recent visit, I spent the month of October 2018 in Ubud, it was all centered around making the most of Hubud. From their soft landing package to the day to day tips, the staff and organisation around Hubud were amazing. Sure it's pricy, and there are lots of cheaper options, but it's a matter of value for money, not price, for me. Social entrepreneurs, like minded people, tons of events including StartUp Weekend and a world class co-working space were only some of the reasons I chose Hubud and can't wait to go back.

We checked out Hubud creative co-working space in Ubud. Perfect! Amazing tranquility and environment for work. They nailed it. Green rice fields must be so good for the soul of those lucky enough to be able to break away and work and focus here. We scheduled a tour with Coworker so we are not members, I should note. But we had the full tour. Shoes are dropped at the door so people are barefoot. Respectful calm and quiet throughout. Multiple quiet areas and meeting rooms available, as well as Skype rooms. I was actually surprised the place was so near to the main road hustle and bustle. It's right in town and busy outside. You go up a flight of stairs and then it's quiet and elevated. The place backs out onto a beautiful rice paddy. You can perch at a bar and work looking out on the field. A lovely spot. Overall very impressed and one of the best spots I've seen.

Besides the obvious charms of the place (location, atmosphere etc), what I know is that every time I walk into Hubud something positive happens. From something as simple as learning what the cheapest flights are to landing a paid workshop, theres always a connection. I hope I have given back to them as much as I feel I have gotten. Back to the charms of the place, Hubud has a great atmosphere, beautiful building and perfect location in the heart of Ubud. Bali is an amazing place, but Ubud is a particularly great location for coworking as it attracts the kind of progressive entrepreneur who brings real skills and experience.

Paid a visit to Hubud Nov 2017, one of the best space I've ever been! The bamboo interior gives a cosy and welcoming ambience, the view overlooking a padi field is amazing! The vibe during Startup Weekend was very energetic and full of laughter with Steve as the MC. Food during the event was delicious and thoughtful. The team was helpful and always have a smile on them. Had a great and unforgettable experience organizing CU Asia 2018 with Hubud's team. Looking forward to my next trip to Bali and will definitely visit Hubud again to catch up with the Hubud family.

Hubud has completely changed my life- I always joke that I received a full business degree purely by being surrounded by such amazing people, having access to all of the skill shares and events and having a supportive community that helps me power through the biggest challenges I come across. I've met the most amazing people, had the most productive days I can remember and challenged myself to learn new skills and grow. I've even been able to build up my own public speaking skills by sharing a few skill shares of my own! I can't recommend it highly enough!!!

Hubud does not only provide a space for people to do their works, but also a home for those who call themselves digital nomads. I mean, it is a perfect place to be concentrating on your tasks. When you're there, you'll be really motivated because you'll meet fellow members who are skillful and passionate about what they're doing. You're gonna be inspired by them. Being in Hubud is such a unique experience, it's a whole new world when you're in Bali. They have such an amazing community that will make you feel like you're home when you think you don't belong anywhere. They also have so many cool events that accommodate members to know each other or to gain new learnings or to embrace their skills.

Hubud is an amazing and bright place if you're looking to have an unforgettable (and productive) time in Bali. The community is beyond great: these people actually became friends for life in my case. The space is light and open, I personally love the bamboo, after all you shouldn't forget you're in Bali! I love Hubud with all my heart, I'm currently in Europe but I literally can't wait to go back and for sure see familiar faces again! <3 Everybody takes care of one another. Everybody wants to learn, and share their skills. It's a magical environment, you should get a taste off.

One of my first few experiences in a co-working space and this surpassed all my expectations. The building is absolutely gorgeous. Love that everything is completely in bamboo and they pay a tremendous attention to the environment. Kantin (the canteen in the space) has delicious, hearty and healthy food and great coffee so you never have to worry about re-fueling during the day. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly always. My favourite thing is all the events that you're able to participate in, whether it's social or educational. You're constantly learning in the space and meeting cool and motivational people. Thanks Hubud!

Hubud is a gem not only in Ubud but also in Bali, I have been a partnership intern here at hubud and i haven't regretted a thing. It has provided me so many accesses to weekly educational events from entrepreneurial think thank, skillshares and so on. And I love my coworkers, some are smart, like minded people who inspire and empower you in so many ways. Surely this helps you increase your confidence boost especially young people who just entered a real work world. Because at Hubud, you'd get the chance to pick up new knowledge/skill or two while getting your work done and surrounded by positive people.

I arrived Ubud 1 year ago, I was experiencing one of my toughest life transitions. From a corporate job to a life without roots and to a craving to find 'home' again within an inspiring community of like-minded people and start off my freelance writing career. I found all this at Hubud: a welcoming team and community that supported me all the way through my transition. The weekly events - skillshares, entrepreneurial think thank and other meetups - are like modules of a hands-on and practical MBA. Other larger events - Startup Weekend, F*ck Up and Pecha Kucha Nights - summon a community of exceptional individuals and professionals, eager to discuss about future of work....and have fun!!! I cannot be more enthusiastic in writing a review: Hubud has changed my life, for real.

Oh, Hubud, if Ubud wasn't already special enough, you came along and made it possible for me to actually be a productive human on my favorite chill-out island. This really just means that I'll never have to leave Bali, and I can't dream up anything better. The space is so conducive to a productive work day, the coffee is free and bottomless, the building made from bamboo so you feel like you're in a treehouse (and it's totally sustainable), and there are monkeys outside. Oh yeah, and the staff + members rock, it's an epic place to connect, and the wifi is lightning fast which, on Bali, is NOT NORMAL. Oh yeah, and it's open 24/7 on weekdays so for this girl (I'm a journalist/copywriter/occasional night owl when inspiration hits), it's a dream come true. The owners did an amazing job with this space, and I'm thrilled that it exists. It's an awesome community. Thank you, Hubud, for being you, and rocking my professional world in my very favorite place on this big, blue planet.

I've been travelling and renting office space in SE Asia for give months now and have been to maybe a dozen. Hubud was the most expensive by far. Which would be fine if they justified that price by offering an incredible space with lots of extras. But they dont. The staff are friendly, chairs are comfy, Wi-Fi is reasonably fast. But it's also quite dark, crowded and hot - which isn't helped by the fact that there's no air con. Outpost is far better!

I've have coworked from Ubud for about 4 months. Great for productivity, work/life balance and a great place to meet other interesting entrepreneurs. If you're thinking about going there, you should just do it.

Hubud is a very beautiful and cool space. It is build out of bamboo, which is sustainable material, but also a very unique and beautiful structure. The internet is very fast. They have a lot of events and skill sharing which makes it easy for the community to connect with each other. The food in the cafe is raw, tasty and very healthy. Best environment to work.

Me and my colleague were travelling in Bali and needed a place with good Wifi and where we could work more productively than in a cafe, so we came to Hubud. The place has one AC'd room and several open decks with fans in a supercool bamboo hut as well as an outdoor area. If you like working in a cool room, then you might need to join the rather crowded AC'd room. All other areas are rather warm, which was okay for me but might not be for everyone. There is a bar that serves drinks and food. The bar closes early, but there are enough bars and restaurants around. Unfortunately, on that day, a rather big Hack Weekend took place. At first we thought that that is a good thing, but later when the teams started working on their ideas, the place got really crowded and loud. No one of the staff took the time to show us around and introduce us to one or another community member. These are things have seen before and would expect of a place as famous for the community as Hubud. At some point we decided to continue working somewhere else and found a quite space in a cafe. I still believe that this was all due to the Hack Weekend, however we did not feel very welcome. I would like to go back and give Hubud another chance, but I definitely recommend checking the community events before going.

Hubud is a fantastic place to work due to it's nice ambience, inspiring space and great location central in Ubud. There is everything you need (wifi, peace, good food, nice view etc), and more, and it's certain, that you will meet great people there!

Hubud is a gem in Ubud, providing the perfect place to meet new like-minded people who are working on projects, businesses and just remote working. It's super social, so if that's not your bag, might not be the best place for working. Their events are great and you can pick up a new skill or two while getting work done on the matter at hand. The team is wonderful. I'm going to miss the guys and girls that keep Hubud ticking!

I am a huge fan of Hubud. Beautiful bamboo space, yummy vegetarian food available onsite plus the best thing is the amazing community of intetesting digital nomad types from.around the world that you meet there the events ate also a huge bonus.

Hubud is located right in the heart of Ubud, next to the Monkey Forest. If you're working at the window, you can often see the monkeys climbing the telephone wiring outside. On the other side of the building, that's mostly made and decorated with bamboo, you can find rice paddies and bean bags and hammocks to relax. There's a coffee, tea and filtered water self-service in the open kitchen, which is a place I would often meet new people. Hubud has an amazingly social community; it's hard not to meet dozens of interesting people during your stay. I also liked the abundance of lectures and workshops, ranging from topics such as social media marketing to empathetic leadership to Bitcoin. It's easy to say that Hubud is the best place I ever worked from.

The entire world — literally, I've lost count of the countries from which the entrepreneurs arrive — comes through Hubud. They tend to be people who think differently, shift paradigms, and do amazing things with their lives. By and large, whether the stay is short or long, Hubudians are global citizens and entrepreneurs with heart, who understand that it's a small world after all and it's up to us to make the difference that makes a difference. The founders of Hubud have created an easygoing space that encourages connection, and they have done a phenomenal job at providing what the digital nomad community requires in terms of events and ways to find one another. Ubud speaks for itself in terms of lifestyle, and Hubud is a wonderful place to begin, get oriented and maybe choose to stay awhile (do download Hubud's Moving to Ubud guide, very helpful indeed).

Hubud is much more than a CoWorking space it's a Community. I always say about Hubud " Best CoWorking space in the world" and I really mean it. Incredible creative and fun people from really ALL over the world filled with projects and know how that they are willing to share and so you learn and grow each day. There are many weekly skill shares so more learning and expanding along side social members lunch and events. The view onto the rice field is a haven for me to work from. I have been coming back here regularly for over 2 years. Why ? Too good not to return to and still getting so much from being here. Gratitude gratitude to the founders for gifting us Hubud and to all the members and team for making it this place which feels like "Home".

At the many co-working spaces that I visited around the world, I have been sursprised by how differently they can interpret the "co" bit of coworking. Spanning from cafeterias with a giant shared space to places that can tap into the collective intelligence of the ecosystem of social entrepreneurs, I found Hubud to offer a great atmosphere of openness (it might be because it's placed at the heart of the Ubud vibe?) They are so active in the way they organize events to allow people to connect, share ideas, give feedback to each other, socialise. The creative entrepreneur who intends to find solitude and a quiet desk can also be satisfied and respected in her need for privacy and focus, as well. Definitely recommended as one of the best coworking spaces I have been to.

I had no idea what co-working was until I discovered Hubud - since then it has completely changed my perspective on life and what is possible. I have visited many place around the world since but there is NOTHING that compares to the energy and people you meet at Hubud. It truly is a mecca for some of the most unique and exciting people working on some truly awesome projects.

Hubud is epic, it's my favourite co-working space in the world, the environment is relaxed and friendly, it's super easy to network and meet likeminded people, yet you can also get on with your work safe in the knowledge that a $10 massage is just around the corner and you can nip down the road to world class yoga teachers at The Yoga Barn. The staff are super friendly, the weekly skill-share and social events are so informative and fun. Amazing community, beautiful space. And it's made of bamboo.

Hubud has a very special community. It's a whimsical experience for a work environment. Digital nomads, expats, locals, creatives, ambitious share space, ideas, skills all at walking distance from a monkey forest. You walk bare feet, surrounded by highly skilled entrepreneurs/world adventurers. Hubud is run by people that envision positive changes towards sustainability in the world. I am grateful for my experiences there and highly recommend the visit.

Simply THE PLACE for you to challenge yourself to explore living your life in a different way. The effort exerted to cultivate a loving and learning community is what makes the place so special.

I have worked in so many corporate offices around the world and I have been so impressed with Hubud and how it impacted my productivity. I worked there for a 3 months and discovered a co-working space with an amazing community of highly talented, self-selected brilliant entrepreneurs who are always willing to help. In addition there are numerous, regular skill shares, workshops, member's lunches, speaker events and social nights that allow Hubudian members to connect, upskill, share, contribute, learn and network. A very special place - so much so that I am returning back for a week all the way from London when I don't really need to....

I've been to quite a few co-working spaces around the world and nothing compares to Hubud! There's an active community with dozens of events weekly, great vibe, awesome location. If you're in Ubud, this place is a must!

Hubud creates a wonderful community for not only business collaboration but life-long supportive friendships. I went to Bali for a holiday. I moved to bali because of Hubud.

This place is more than a co-working space. It's a growth & collaboration community. The opportunities for being inspired, learning new skills, sharing your genius and actually getting your shit done are endless. Oh and you get to work in a bamboo structure, over-looking rice paddies with super fast internet & a team that will bend over backwards to help you. I almost don't want you to know about this place!

The community is amazing and the events are consistently awesome with so much choice. Couldn't be a more international crowd so the cross pollination of ideas and culture is an inevitable outcome.

Hubud is hands down THE BEST co-working space and community I've been in - across three continents! Hubud is known as the Lab for the Future of Work, and that's 100% true. Every day, there's someone new coming in to Hubud to begin a new journey, to experiment, to re-discovery the spark, the re-invent, and to change the way they work. Hubud has a strong sense of community and culture - for experimentation and for learning. There are over 365 events per year (on average once per day), some examples: * A skill-share every Tuesday, hosted by subject matter experts in fields such as e-commerce, startups, and online marketing. * A think tank for entrepreneurs every Wednesday, where entrepreneurs seek feedback on their startups' business model, commercial strategy, and products. * A speaker session every Thursday, on various diverse topics ranging from how to raise venture funding to how to learn Chinese. * Alternating community lunch or happy hour every Friday * In addition, other community sessions, such as a blockchain discussion group, a film studies group, a web developer group, and an Indonesian language group also meet weekly or bi-weekly at Hubud. I wanted to point out that the level of Bitcoin and blockchain enthusiasm in Hubud is a big differentiator. It is very rare for a co-worker to say that they can participate in weekly blockchain discussions about DAO/Ethereum/Bitcoin and help spearhead widespread Bitcoin adoption with merchants/vendors, while also chilling in the middle of a jungle next to 600 monkeys (Monkey Forest nearby).

Despite being the coolest coworking space I have been to in a vry long while, Hubud is a great connector: there's a strong member community around it and such great networking opportunities through its awesome events. Definitely the best around!

Hubud is home from home, the Hub of the Bud. It's the hotspot for work, connections, events and WIFI (in a notoriously lousy wifi area) in Ubud Bali. With seating (and standing) options to suit all bodies - hammocks, bean bags (inside and outside) a swinging chair, rice field views and air conditioning - Hubud has it covered. It's wonderful to be in a bamboo building, and with snacks and drinks at the Living Food Cafe there is no need to leave all day. Or night. I love being there at night when it's cooler and quieter. Watch the day dawn over the rice field, with monkeys in the trees - what's not to love?

From the moment I walked in, I felt "wow, this is it". There is an incredible energy in that place, that probably originates from 3 combined sources: the bamboo interior, the rice fields exterior and the most amazing community which instantly makes you feel as a family member. My original plan was to spend just a few days in Ubud, explore the village and the surroundings, and move on to another part of Bali. What happened instead was that I got so hooked on Hubud and its community and activities, that I stayed in Ubud way longer than I planned. I spent nearly all my time at Hubud, co-creating and co-learning with other members. I haven't seen much of the village or the surroundings, but I got so much value from people of Hubud: new friends, new ideas and made good progress on my project. I'll be back in Asia this winter, and I'll stay in Hubud for a few months at least. I can't wait for that.

Great atmosphere, i followed start-up weekend here in november 2014, had an amazing time and met my beautiful girlfriend for then :) the food was great and the place is very nice, relaxed, beautiful view on the rice fields from your desk, great!

I worked at Hubud for two weeks last year, and I very much wish I could have stayed longer. Working on your projects with a view over the rice fields and a freshly made healthy smoothie in your hand is simply amazing. I was very pleasantly surprised about the speed and the stability of the internet connection, and all the amenities were great. But the absolute best part about Hubud were the people. So many interesting, colourful, friendly and warm-hearted people gather in this place that it is hard to understand why anyone would ever want to leave. Whether you're just passing through during a trip, or looking for a place to stay put and work for a while, this should definitely be near the top of your list.

Be productive in a fun community environment, what else could you ask for! Say goodbye to traditional offices, once you've played in that environment you'll never want to go back to your cubicle!

Hubud is far from a coworking space. it's a community, friendly space where you can come in alone and in a week have as many friends as you need. it's the best place I've worked from so far.

Well, they always say people remember their first one - first coworking space that is :) Ever since Hubud, I keep comparing other coworking spaces to it. It sure looks cool with that Bamboo structure and the lazy bags in the garden, together with the raw organic cafe with the best green juice ever, and occasional visits by the monkeys from the forest across the road. But it's mostly the excellent community management the guys and girls are doing there! Form the very first moment they help you tap into the community and they manage to have events literally every day - be it a skills sharing session, think thank, members lunch, happy hour etc. - always a great opportunity to meet like-minded people.

Amazing place to see how the world of business is changing it's landscape

Every thing about Hubud is so great that makes it the best coworking space I've been around the world. The place, the team and the community are exceptional and just as you arrive you feel a very good energy from all the community. It's an awesome place to know other people, do networking and learn a lot of things in the multiple events they host every week.

My experience at Hubud could not have been better. From the warm set of people, the comfortable working spaces to the incredible set of events, this has to be one of the best coworking spaces in the world. The internet was fast, which is super impressive for Bali, and it stays open to cater to all sorts of working hours. Being able to sit and look out of a rice field and still have a cool working location with a breeze was great. There are a bunch of reasonably priced eating options within walking distance for lunch and dinner breaks. I can't say enough good things about Hubud and the team that runs it.

The space is nice and the Internet is pretty fast for Bali. They have a lot of activities which can be good and can be a downside too. It's sometimes difficult to work and be productive due to the number of people, other activities, and disruptions. Great for people who want to socialize and network. It can get pretty warm since only one small area is air conditioned (and often busy with events/meetings). But then, it is Bali.

Hubud is amazing to work, meet people, get in the flow and live in Ubud.

I spent many hours at Hubud while i lived in Bali for 2 months. I am in my sixties and thought at first i would feel odd. The opposite was true! People were interested in my work with community of older women called Sixty and Me and I was even invited to hold a "Think Thank" lunch session to get feedback on aspects of the business. People were just amazing. Mostly younger, they were smart, engaged, positive and passionate about their lives. The facility is fabulous. Fell in love with the jamu. Can only suggest with all my heart you give it a visit when you arrive in Ubud!

I was supposed to be here for a short time, but came back and stayed for 6 months. Now planning to go back for a year. WHAT? Yes, I learned so much here because of the huge and friendly community of people from so many different backgrounds, fields of work, cultures. It's amazing. I love doing yoga and have a good cup of coffee nearby before going which helped me stay productive throughout my stay here. Awesome Saus

The place you want to be grow your network, develop your skills, expand your mind and connect with what's important.

Hubud is such a special place. It's everything you could want when starting out either in business or on your digital nomad journey or both. I keep returning back as there's no other place like it. When I'm there my business grows two fold to when I'm struggling around other places in the world trying to find that same connection, support & community.

I became friends with some amazing people at Hubud and even started the relationship with my girlfriend there 2 years ago. Hubud is all about meeting helpful, nice and positive people (and some monkeys) in an amazing environment. You learn a shit load of things from your fellow coworkers at skill sharing events. If you need help with your project or advice on anything you can be sure that you are being helped. The diversity of people joining as members is mind blowing!

Hubud is a brilliant place to be productive (fast and reliable internet) and meet new people left and right. It's got a spectacular view of the rice paddies, is centrally located, and has a great vibe to it. There's skill sharing, free workshops (this weekend there was a start-up weekend organised) and there's an amazing indoor raw food store so you don't even have to walk out to get your food. I love it. Best I've been to.

I've visited or worked at 7 coworking spaces in various cities, and HUBUD is by far the most enjoyable and unique. Amazing vibe, great people, staggering range of weekly programs, charming setting in the heart of Bali's beautiful Ubud. This place feels like home.

Great work space, great digital community, and fantastic environment to start, build, or scale your business.

I worked from Hubud over a period of a month. This is the poster child of coworking spaces and the founders (there are quite a few) have spent a considerable amount of time and effort creating this place. It's just how you'd picture it, with bamboo structures, rice paddy views and a little cafe with all sorts of delicious raw vegan treats. Pros: - A large community with a great team of founders and regular events - A great cafe with a range of salads, sandwiches, coffees and treats - Fast internet for Bali (which is notoriously bad) Cons: - Community is not very tight-knit, stayed for the social drinks one evening and literally no one turned up - Fairly expensive for a coworking space but it is in the centre of Ubud - Furniture is not designed for work use and there is no A/C (apart from a meeting room where you would be continually interrupted). We depended on one rusty old fan to keep us cool in the sweltering heat and this was ultimately the biggest drawback. All up though, a great space and a bit of a must for any "digital nomad".
