My review of Society of Work
29.11.2019This space not only houses creatives, but is full of creativity in every inch of the company. From murals by local artists, to local products for the clients to enjoy, this space pours our creativity into the community that gets to experience it.

Great balance of community & productivity
10.07.2016I joined Society of Work as a writer seeking community in a freelance world. I knew that working in an open workspace could present productivity problems, but at SOW, they have mastered a culture of inclusion & respect for one another's work and time. I found community while remaining productive -- a delicate balance to achieve, but they've done it.

Best co-working space I've been a part of...
07.07.2016Having worked remotely for the majority of my career out of a handful of co-working spaces in both Seattle and NYC, I can easily say that the Society of Work has been my best co-working experience. SoW is managed very well and provides beautiful mix of quiet personal space while having like-minded people nearby to collaborate and brainstorm with. It's a breath of fresh air to be in a co-working space that actively encourages diversity in both gender and skill sets. Currently there is a nice mix of designers, developers, civil engineers, project managers, architects, lawyers, marketers, photographers, and probably more. SoW is also located in the heart of Chattanooga's new "Innovation District" and makes it incredibly easy to network and continue learning without really trying. Tech and community events are usually either in the space or on other floors within the building. If you are a freelancer in Chattanooga, there is very little reason not to work out of the SoW.

Great environment for work
06.07.2016The amenities are great, but my favorite thing about Society of Work is the atmosphere of community and collaboration that is fostered by the staff. The customer service is excellent and the vibe is perfect for getting things done.

"Downtown Life + Collaborative Access = Society of Work"
06.07.2016Our business was originally tucked away in a small room in a print shop as far away from our clients as we could be, so when the opportunity came to join Society of Work in the Edney Building, we leaped with both feet! We have been thrilled with the close access to our clients, the "vibe" of a collaborative environment, and the business sense of sharing community space while still maintaining a private office. We have everything we need for success, all in a neat little bundle.

the crossroads of CHA's tech scene
06.07.2016My company has been a member of SoW for many years now, moving from common desk space to our own office. Society of Work has been critical for our success in Chattanooga, placing us at the crossroads of the developers, designers, creatives, and others our work in Chattanooga needs to succeed. Our organization has offices all over the world from San Francisco to Berlin to Aukland, and I would argue that our space in CHA stacks up to any of these spaces! We've loved every second.

I've been here a while
06.07.2016I've been a member of Society of Work for quite some time. The staff is like family as are many of the other members. The new facility is an amazing workspace filled with so many amenities; i.e. showers, a kitchen with a keg always on tap, game room, printers, conference rooms, etc. In the new building, you also have access to an amazing rooftop area and a large community meeting space. Faces in the building become very familiar in a short amount of time due to the number of networking events, luncheons and various meetings. "We are all in this together" is on the wall and it rings true in how the staff and members interact with one another. Society is one of the best connectors in the city, both for those who have lived here their whole life and those who are new to the city. I am a proud Society of Work member and honestly couldn't imagine myself working in any other environment.

SOW saved my work life!
06.07.2016Over the last year, I've written a dissertation at SOW; expanded my freelance work; and jump-started another small business. The space has every possible resource a professional could need, and it also happens to be an enjoyable environment. I've met new people and made business contacts without really trying. It's nice to have a place to go where I get work done but also mange to have fun at the same time!

Community-minded and professional
06.07.2016Society of Work is very supportive of all its members, regardless of their industry, age, experience-level, years (or days!) living in Chattanooga, etc. Kelly & Mary do a great job of building community, making members feel like they belong and encouraging healthy work/life balance. At the same time, they allow for each member to be as independent and focused as they like, maintaining a respectful and professional work environment at all times.

Great Space and Atmosphere
06.07.2016Skye Strategies has an office suite at Society of Work and it's convenient to pay one price that includes major amenities like printing and wifi. It's a major benefit to not have to keep up with a bunch of different vendor contracts. Additionally, the atmosphere is upbeat and energetic. Coworkers are eager to brainstorm ideas or potential collaborations. Lastly, the location in The Edney Innovation Center has been of great importance to the work we do as fund developers, as there is a packed calendar of events on Floor 5, many of which address key community issues.

Great facility, fabulous co-workers, low-key vibe
06.07.2016Society of Work is the perfect place for me to work! It has all the amenities I need, without feeling superfluous. Everyone who works there is super friendly and creative and willing to chit-chat. It's a very productive environment!

Exceptionally excellent
06.07.2016The small marketing agency I work for calls the Society of Work home base. It has been a great place to work and network. We love it here.

Great place to work
06.07.2016Society of Work has become like a family to me. The people are so intelligent, kind, and fun. They are constantly coming up with new events and activities to bring together different people from the community. The space is beautiful and the rooftop is amazing! And the amenities have spoiled me- delicious coffee, fast internet, and an wonderful atmosphere!

Real Collaboration with excellent people
05.07.2016I work for Perri Marketing as a technical copywriter/marketing copywriter for independent software vendors. We have found this space to be professional yet laid back, productive yet whimsical. We have an office space adjacent/connected to the SoW co-working area, and every day at the office is a good one.

Constantly Improving
05.07.2016Been working at SOW since the early days. It has always been good but the SOW team is constantly improving things and making the whole co-working experience better than it already was. The community is second to none. There's great event programming, an awesome arcade/break area when you need a breather, and quiet in the actual co-working space when you don't. Highly recommended.

Best Place to Work in Chattanooga
05.07.2016It's hard to beat the work environment, on top of being surrounded by a huge amount of talent in many different fields. Everyone around us is willing to help when asked. I don't want to work anywhere else! I played Super Smash Bros. during my lunch break, what did you do?
