Coworking Space: Hunt Street Station in Detroit

Itʻs a stunning restoration of an old building, and a great place to meet interesting people.

Over the past few years I have been to all the co-working spaces in Detroit, either as a member or for events/meetings, and this one is by far my favorite. The location avoids all the headaches of downtown (not just for me, but for my visitors) and the station has so much charm that it's the first 15 minutes of every conversation I have with any visitors. The tech in this place is also super cool - keyless fob entry, great wireless, ability for tenants or guests to connect wirelessly to any display - and I like the mix of formal and informal meeting and seating options. Not to mention a killer view of Downtown from the top floor. Oh yeah, and dog-friendly. Who doesn't like dogs?

The building is beautiful and old (I think late 1800s). I moved in at the start of 2018. No complaints at this point. Glad that I picked this spot. It is located in part of Detroit that is coming back. I liked other places downtown too, but they all charged for parking. The third floor of the building is an old Gym for the Detroit Police Department. The old wood floors have been restored. The ceilings have got to be 30 feet tall. Really beautiful. The community manager, Alex, told me about some Jimmy Hoffa stories related to the building and the furniture. If you visit, make sure to ask him about it.
