Overview of Industry Lab

Industry Lab is a coworking space located in the vibrant hub of Inman Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Inhabiting nearly 20,000 square feet of a historical brick building with wood floors and lots of windows, Industry Lab is a neighborhood for artists, engineers, scientists, and designers to co-exist and collaborate.

We have shared conference rooms and a phone booth that your team can reserve as needed, as well as a thriving event space and a community-run machine shop. Collaborative opportunities are abound, as they exchange their ideas and feedback openly and aim to grow alongside one another.

Imagine you work in a stuffy cubicle all day with rows and rows of cubes. Now imagine the complete opposite of that and you have Industry Labs. IL's floor plan is open and collaborative between many people of different occupations. The community they foster is extremely accepting and helpful to anyone that requests it. They host all kinds of events that let you interact with other members if you want to make friends or even just pet the different dogs in the office. Plus the location is great if you like exploring new places to eat or drink around the area.

The company I work for has been at Industry Labs since long before I joined, and it was one of the most unexpected benefits of joining Common Sensing. Industry Labs is a vibrant community of folks who share ideas and space magnificently. There are many events, both monthly and weekly to get to know folks, and the Artist in Residence program routinely brings in people with special talents that bring life to the space. Between twice-weekly opportunities to meditate with other members, monthly board game and soup nights, IL has crafted so many ways to get to know folks on different floors.

Laid back environment. Super friendly people. Easy to do work and be productive. Occasionally some of the best puppies in Massachusetts come in and give lots of hugs and kisses. I can pahk my cah in the designated IL parking spaces! Best wifi in town. Walking distance to a gajillion places for lunch (if you take away nothing else from this review please understand the food situation is 12/10). Also they sponsor your lunch when you take a new member out to eat. Super awesome sauce!

Industry lab has everything you need for a productive office, but the community offers way more than that. The community organizers routinely put together art exhibits, group dinners, board game and movie nights so that it's easy to meet people. I've met some of my best friends through IL, and it's not uncommon to randomly get invited to an after-work drink, yoga session, beach trip or other fun thing.

My time has been a part of IL since Sept 2019 and we have no intention of leaving! Great community, cool workspace, great location in Cambridge. The staff are super friendly and always helpful. Cannot recommend enough.
