Coworking Space: Hacker Lab in Sacramento

I have been here for many many years I love it here Coffee and company is great Bryan with a "y" throws startup parties. I have only been to one, but I hear they are all really great John and Nile and Christina are also super great I sell plastics which not so techy, but there are tech people here and they do classes about how you can be techy too I have never written a review this long, but I hear there is some pizza in it for me Did I mention how handsome Bryan is? He is on Tinder Chis is also very handsome and his LED cube is amazing

I used to think that I was pretty handy. That if for some reason I could not find the right tool or part,I could just make it. Now I know that to be a fact. Hacker lab has given me a new outlook on what I do. Instead of dreading getting up and doing the same old thing. Its actually fun again. I am actually learning again, meeting new people and enjoying the whole co working idea. Thanks Gina and Erik. You really have made me feel like part of the H.L. family. I would also like to thank Shaneen, Toska and Christina for all of your help.

The most bang for your buck! After becoming an ALL ACCESS member you not only get 24/7 access to the amazing people, classes, Meetups, and tools in Sacramento, but you also get the same access to the Rocklin location. This location is partnered with Sierra College, so if you are a student of Sierra College, you get a huge discount on the already amazingly low membership price. In addition, membership gives you a huge discount on the regular price of the classes. You can take anything from business and computer classes to 3D printing, laser cutting, or welding. There are even dedicated rooms for photography and a jewelry making. Something for everyone, from the DIY Maker to the Internet of things...if its happening, HackerLab is talking about it.

I usually come here to either study or do some laser cutting stuffs. Everyone is pretty cool with each other and I like the fact that it's a 24hr access. People are helpful when ur stuck with something and need a way to figure out how to build it together or so. Pretty spacious work area, I'm sort of kind of a isolator, meaning I would sitting near people as much as possible, and almost 89% of the time I always find my own little spot. Their computers are pretty good and fast to use when you don't wanna bring your own laptop in and there's always more than one open for use, they include Corel draw softwares on their computer.

SUPER fast WiFi, great location....big selection of nice tools, welders, jewelry room, saws, lathes, shopbot, 3D printers 3 laser cutters, darkroom, photo shoot room, electronics room, public computers, co-working space, good coffee...several MEET-UPS and good classes for art as well as technical stuff like programming, monthly membership. Hoping it will expand to other locations, centrally located in midtown, open 24 hours, 7 days a week, has great art on the walls, like an art studio....there every day Several offices are rented monthly....can bring in big projects....lots of software on the computers for design, CAD and drawing....better than college....you can EVEN teach classes!!!

Lots of tools laser cutters, welding equipment, wood shop, 3D printers and a lot more. My family and I are here a few days a week doing school projects, etsy items and patent mock ups. The classes are vary though and the teachers are hear all the time working on their stuff. Now I must kill 44 more words to make this go through. This review set up is not nearly as good as HackerLab. 24 more words to go. Remember doing long essays in college and filling areas hoping the professor didn’t notice? This is the same. So HackerLab in downtown Sacramento is great.

I became a Hacker Lab member in January 2017. I became a member after taking a tour and discovering the equipment. It was like Disneyland to me only I wasn’t tall enough to ride any of the rides yet (You’re required to take classes before using for any of the tools they offer). But after gaining the required knowledge and playing with all the toys I could for a few months, it finally dawned on me one day. Yes the toys are fun and the ability to have access to them and the space 24 hours a day is very convenient for my creativity. But anybody can buy a shopbot or a laser cutter or 3D printer, any tool really, that’s not what sets Hacker Lab apart from others. By far the most unique and precious resource at Hacker Lab are the people! Be it staff, the founder, co-founders or fellow members, there are people there from all walks of life with knowledge and experience to do, be or make virtually anything you could ever think of, but that will also take the time and more to help you further you’re project or business, it’s hard to put into words. Amazing comes to mind but that doesn’t come close to describing what Hacker Lab is, for everyone. It’s somethig one can only experience for themself. So come to the Lab where all are welcome at all times. See where it leads you. For me, my focus and goals and direction have changed dramatically the last 15 months. After getting my feet wet and meeting so many others and having all these wonderful ideas imparted to me, I finally believe I am on the right path to success. And 15 months in I am still meeting members, new and old, that continually give me new inspiration and help that I will eternally be greatful for. Thank you for being a one of a kind Hacker Lab. And most of all, thank you for putting up with me!

Hacker Lab is chock full of opportunity,tools,computers,classes,knowledgeable friendly staff. Because of the opportunity afforded by my hacker Lab membership we now have a free sewing class aimed at street level simple clothing repair and basic machine sewing, learning to sew and customized clothing has been a wonderful ongoing learning experience greatly enriching my life and touching the lives of others one button at a time. A local street theater group Your Sacramento Art and revolution has skit writing meetings in the conference room , being able to use the space during off times has been key to the production of several plays and short skits on social and environmental justice that this group promotes. The world needs more spaces like midtown Hacker Lab.

I have been a member for over 2 years. It has the fastest wifi in all of Sacramento. It also has 3d printers, laser cutters a meeting room and classes. Always throwing great community events. Also lots of great classes on coding design, bitcoin, metal working, photography, woodworking. great location in the center of midtown and another location in Rocklin. Different memberships available. Nothing has EVER been stolen from anyone as long as I have been here, which is amazing because of how many people have been in and out of the building. I plan on being a member for a long time! :-)
