Coworking Space: Collabor8te in Glasgow

I have an office in Glasgow and yet I still have a membership with Collobor8te, why would I do that? Simply because of the way Collbor8te facilitates the culture. Teresa who runs it attracts some of the nicest smartest people working in and around Glasgow. I can go in just for lunch and meet 2-3 new people, sometimes business happens, sometimes you can help someone out, sometimes someone can give you the advice you didn't know your needed, it's just a really interesting mind expanding friendly place to be, they live up to their own name! The space is fantastic don't get me wrong, it has all the things a modern co-working space needs and is constantly evolving, but it's really people that makes this the best co-working space in Glasgow, it's a crime that they aren't in other cities yet.

The facilities and service are outstanding, as is their proactivity in creating a vibrant and valuable working community in and outside working hours. They listen, too. They constantly strive to improve their service, and I would be lost without them.

Great choice of seating, superfast Wi-Fi, great choice of fruits, crossaints and coffee.

The following are really good at Collabo8te: location (central in the Merchant City), flexible (range of different plans), atmosphere (ambience, other members, office layout and decor), the other members (cool), the boss ladies (both the Teresa and Alena are fab, really helpful, and very cheery), coffee and snacks (free and plentiful), member socials and lunches (frequent and varied and fun). Only negative are the little hand towels in the gents toilets that I can't bring myself to use;-)

Bright airy comfortable space in a great location. It has a great atmosphere. Selection of meeting room space, regular member events to meet fellow co-workers.

Totally relaxed but super-efficient staff - to the point where they they hand you your snail mail pre-categorised. The space is airy and always clean as a whistle. Everyone who uses it is really happy.

The hosts do a great job of making everyone feel welcome, the space is fabulous and it’s great value.

Just an amazing space that has helped to transform my business! The Staff are fantastic - so helpful, friendly, willing to listen, willing to provide business help when they can, and always there to answer any questions you have about the space. The Community that Teresa and Alena have created and supported has grown hugely over the last few years, and regardless of business type, status, turnover etc., everyone in Collabor8te seem to have very similar mindsets towards collaboration, are genuinely interested in each other's businesses, create and build both business alliances and personal friendships, and all contribute to the greater good of Collabor8te and it's 'unseen' benefits. Having visited many other co-working spaces prior to joining, Collabor8te stands out from the crowd to provide an exemplory service, focussed business environment and fantastic social platform and events for all its members. I couldn't recommend Collabor8te highly enough in words to anyone, and heartily recommend a trial if you are in the area! I certainly don't see myself leaving any time soon!

It’s a friendly, professional and inspiring environment. Teresa Jackson goes above and beyond the normal remit to ensure all coworking members have their needs met and nothing is too much trouble, the social events and seasonal celebrations are the best, the callibre off membership is high.

Besides the fantastic facilities (different work 'zones' that each have a different ambience to suit a variety of working styles, whether busy/chatty, quiet/focused or something in between), it's a community. No-one has to be a 'lone worker' here, there are people ready to offer support, encouragement, ideas, answers, options, connections - whatever you need in order to move forwards. Loneliness is one of the least-discussed challenges of self-employment/running a small business, and that just doesn't need to be an issue when you are part of a community as Collabor8te has created. Teresa, who runs Collabor8te, works to arrange initiatives that support community growth - Friday lunches together, evening events on-site and off-site, speakers and training sessions that are free of charge to members. She considers the 'whole' person in business - both their business needs and their personal needs for connection.

Collabor8te is a fantastic space with a wide range of businesses using it. Teresa and her team make everyone feel welcome and the sense of community is its real benefit for me. Most coworking spaces offer the basics of desks, meeting rooms, wi-fi, office services and good coffee, but Collabor8te takes it to another level. Training, networking and regular social events work alongside the much more informal water cooler and coffee break chats which are where friendships and connections really thrive. As a sole trader the support and network of coworking colleagues I have gained since joining make coming into the office a joy.

As a business owner, it can be a lonely time working from home when I'm not client facing and delivering training, speaking and hosting events. Similarly, I hate being in an environment where you feel stifled, uncreative or trapped like little cubicles. Just over 4 years ago I joined Collabor8te: Workspace & Meetings which is a collaborative workspace run by the flipping awesome founder Teresa Jackson :-) Very much my home away from home full of exciting, eccentric and eclectic peeps, many of whom I now call friends. It's such a great feeling coming into work knowing there is a buzz in the air and great energy. There are always great people to meet and also the room to get your head down whilst being in company. I love co-working as it's a brilliant modern approach to still having the freedoms of no premises while having access to space. I'm fortunate enough that my space is bright, beautiful and best of all FULL of inspiring quotes, pictures and all around lovely things to see. It's a huge credit to Teresa and also the wonderful member host Alena who make the space what it is, a great environment for work and community. As well as work there is plenty of play from beach parties for the members, music nights, quiz nights, members lunches, Abba tribute acts, and so many more awesome things as well as being a safe and beautiful space for myself, my clients and my events. Excited to see what's next for Collabor8te and they should win because it is hands down THE BEST PLACE TO WORK!!!!

An extremely friendly, cool and unpretentious space. Nice feel and some fabulous benefits for all kinds of freelancers and business. It’s true what they say ‘People make Glasgow’ and ‘People make Collabor8te’ - ooh and the coffee is the just fab too and free!

There is a great culture here with lots of support and networking. The staff is friendly and helpful, the space is beautiful and functional, and there's even lots of free food and goodies. All around the best co-working space I've ever experienced.

Comfortable atmosphere

Collabor8te changed my working life! I was struggling with working from home as I found this very isolating but Collabor8te offers me a professional and comfortable working environment which is filled with the most diverse and fun group of people. The owner of the space has created a community of co-workers not only by hosting regular working lunches and networking events but also by throwing regular office parties which is a great way to further build that sense of community. Collabor8te is an excellent place to work from, I’ve met great people and built up new contacts as well as having access to a brilliant location right in the city centre. It’s great value for money and well worth trying out for any small business looking to work in Glasgow.

Collabor8te is a very friendly environment with fantastic facilities and an excellent location right in the city centre. The co-working space is bright and inviting and Teresa, the owner, is always on hand to help. There are frequent member-run training courses on offer and various other ways to engage with the community. Highly recommended.

Collabor8te has a lovely atmosphere it's bright and modern with all the creature comforts from cosy fireside lounge to modern glass boardroom, served with nothing but the best coffees, teas and tasty snacks. The diverse range of people and businesses makes Collabor8te that bit more special a place where you want to go and work on your business whilst making friends, gaining help & advice and collaborating on projects. Our host Teresa puts on amazing social events to help us bond as a group and encourages members to collaborate or run workshops to share skills and knowledge with the rest of us.

Collabor8te has been my 'home' for a while. I was attracted to it for several reasons; its central location, its light and airy premises, a range of working environments under the one roof (from bustling/chatty spaces to library-esque quiet areas) the great bonus facilities (free tea/coffee, breakfast options and snacks), and the all-round excellent value for money that it offers. Being able to book a workspace or meeting rooms in advance online affords me the same level of planning as I would get in a standard corporate office, without having to leave self-employment ;) The sense of community is powerful, with new relationships being forged each day. It really is an engaging and motivating environment to be in - far better than working from home could ever be.

My experience of Collabor8te has been first class! I feel part of a vibrant, supportive, community. The networking is second to none. The events and educational programmes are terrific - from Linked In to Yoga. There is a social scene. The coffee is fantastic! The atmosphere is friendly and helpful and I have picked up lots of work! I love it! It's soooo much better than working from home!

I have been at Collabor8te for over a year and have liked it from the very start. The new office offers everything I need plus more (as a one-man operation I rarely use the meeting rooms). The front, back, and downstairs desk spaces make for a variety of working environments which I like as a change is as good as a rest in many ways.

This place is just amazing. The facilities you get for your money makes Collabor8te an 'no-brainer' for me. I've rented an office in the past and can't believe I didn't consider co-working earlier - I would have saved a packet :-(. I love the spaces here, there's a choice of areas to work and some great break out rooms for meeting clients. I especially love working in the downstairs work zone. With it just being a 10 min walk from Central station and in the centre of the city - the location couldn't be any better for me.

I've been a member of this wonderful collaborative space for over two years, and it is one of the best outside of London as it offers not only the best facilities, networking opportunities and business boosting expertise from the staff, but fascinating events you won't find anywhere else to boost your skillset.

I have been a Collabor8te member since day one. I have two staff who can both commute easily due to great transport links. My business has really benefitted from having a comfortable environment to work from; and clients from all over the central belt love meeting here. There is a relaxed atmosphere , a wealth of mostly new business talent , coupled with professionals from most disciplines ( among whom I count myself ) - a true cross section of The Glasgow business community. I have previously wanted to " escape" from an office full of peers, and I'm sure you can identify with that sentiment. What Collabor8te offers is a different viewpoint , businesses & sole traders from all walks of life , from many parts of the globe. I have utilised & recommended the services of many of my co workers , and in return , many have became clients- all in the natural flow of the environment. There is also a range of more structured Networking Events ( even a Yoga Class) , social events ..... and pastries, biscuits & proper coffee on a daily basis. My best advice would be to take advantage of the free trial day and see for yourself.

As an "out of towner" I love the flexibility of my Collabor8te membership - and I can book in advance or find a space on the day. The work area is clean and bright. Availability of tea (huge selection), coffee and drinking water all "on tap"! Pastries, fruit and biscuits (including Tunnocks Caramel Wafers) all provided. In addition to that it's such a friendly place and everyone is very welcoming.

I have recently just joined Collabor8te as I was looking for a mailing address and with a view of having a base in Glasgow to meet with clients and industry colleages. I was invited to try out the facility without charge and I knew straight away that this would be a great resource and at an affordable price. So looking forward in developing my relationship with Collabor8te.

Great place to work, awesome colleagues and very central!

Collabor8te works really well for me, especially being able to use my hours for either a desk or a meeting room. It's a lovely space to work in (you can even see greenery out of the back windows) with a G1 post code. People are friendly and there are a lot of networking and training events. Tea, coffee and biscuits are all included and someone will answer the door to clients arriving for meetings and let you know that they are there :-)

Collabor8te is a fabulous community of small businesses, the office layout and meeting room space is excellent, plus the relaxed and reliable way the space is managed is second to none. I would urge any small business owner who is sick of the kitchen table to join the collective and get that balance in their working environment that promotes positivity and productivity.

As I'm self employed & work from home this space has a lovely atmosphere and an ideal city centre base for meetings and working from on the now & then package. It gets me out of my own space and the support from all the co workers is amazing I've made so many useful connections and friends. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

I would highly recommend Collabor8te as a workspace. The location is central for Glasgow and the facilities are great from the herbal tea selection to the good coffee - I hate bad coffee so if you like a good caffeine fix you're all set! The space is bright and airy and has a variety of different businesses. I've always found other members to be friendly and Teresa, Collabor8tes founder, is great. On days you want peace and quiet you have it and if you want to meet other entrepreneurs it's also great. Whether you're looking for a new full-time home or a regular work drop in spot it's a great place.

For me, the access to meeting rooms is really important, and they are priced very competitively too. Great location very close to both train stations and always a friendly face to greet you.

I have been a member here for over 2 years. Excellent facilities, in a great location, with other fantastic businesses. Teresa is wonderful host.
