Happiness Hub is HQ of Happy City Initiative, which measures and develops the conditions for thriving communities. The office is an open space, where people working for more than just profit are encouraged to support each other and to explore the benefits of a focus on wellbeing in work.

We offer great flexibility. Contracts are from one day a week at £43/month, to five days a week at £150.50/month. If you rent part-time you don't have to come on the same days every week - work on the days that suit you. There is no minimum contract length; we just ask for one month's rental as a deposit, and one month's notice when you leave.

Here's what a couple of our tenants have to say: “This office is called The
Happiness Hub for a reason; it’s filled with wonderful people, who are bound together by a sense of purpose to drive positive change be that for their charity, their business or as sole traders,” and “I enjoy the feeling of being supported by peers in similar situations to myself. I like working with people who share my values, even if they are working in very different fields.”

You'll find great connections and an exceptional knowledge of the Bristol 'scene' here.

Another tenant loves the central location “The area is great – close to the waterfront, a short walk from the station and, most importantly for someone who is obsessed with food (me!) just a couple of minutes walk from St Nick’s markets!”.

There's a communal area, a kitchenette, and a private meeting room.

So if you inspire others, and feed off inspiration yourself - join the Happiness Hub and we'll help each other make change together.

We welcome bookings for free trial days through Coworker. Please book with at least 24 hours' notice to ensure that your email is picked up in time. Thank you!

"Worth the money... I now finish work on time!"

    July 2016

I'm a home based worker for a large national charity. This gives me the flexibility to live where I want in the country, but has been a bit isolating in the past. As a non-freelancer I was a little nervous about how welcomed I would be into a coworking space. The Happiness Hub put my worries to rest! Its a great, affordable space in the centre of town with an interesting mix of people, plenty of room and friendly neighbours. My work-life balance is a heap better now and the chances of having to drag myself through a slow moving day highly unlikely!

    "A great place to work"

      July 2016

Moving in to a shared office was a big change compared to working at home. It has been a roundly positive and wonderful experience; you can't say enough about having a little bit of human contact to keep you going throughout the day. Happy City has a good crowd and an interesting mix of people and professions. I'm very glad that I moved in.

      "inexpensive and cheerful"

        July 2016

For a long time I was wary about renting shared office space, believing that I could not justify the cost, but I am glad to say that renting my desk at the "Happiness Hub" has been absolutely worth it. My productivity has vastly improved, I have made new friends and I have achieved a much healthier work-life balance. This is not a super-cool media hub, the likes of which you see elsewhere in Bristol (and at a steep premium) – rather, it is a simple, affordable space with everything you need and a mix of occupants, from charities and start-ups to freelance web developers, filmmakers and journalists (like me). There are plenty of shops and cafés/eateries nearby, notably St Nick's market which sells a variety of freshly made lunchtime meals. I have marked down the wi-fi/internet to 3 stars because we are presently on a copper line, which is generally acceptable but not always fast enough for things like Skype calls and big file downloads/uploads; however, I understand that we will be upgrading to high-speed fibre optic very soon.

        2 Thank Jon

"Excellent working space, friendly people - exactly what I needed!"

          June 2016

Having a desk in the Happiness Hub has been such an excellent move for my business. Now I have a central Bristol office address, excellent facilities (full range of Pukka teas to choose from!) and a friendly and interesting group of people to work alongside. No more isolated working from home - hello friendly banter, Christmas parties and great networking besides!

          2 Thank Rhian

"Great working space with lovely people"

            June 2016

Lovely people doing all sorts of interesting things, great atmosphere, good central location. Occasional interesting learning lunches. And 16 different flavours of free herbal tea. What more could you want?

            1 Thank Nic
