Overview of Redbrick House

Redbrick House is a not-for-profit coworking space centrally located in Stokes Croft, Bristol. Specifically designed for freelancers, entrepreneurs, small teams, and start-ups, the building consists of three floors of work space for both solo and interactive working. This includes a light airy top floor for coworking, open plan art studios, and a fixed desk floor. Alongside this on our ground floor we also have a training space ideal for larger meetings and conferences.

As one of the only not-for-profit coworking spaces in Bristol, Redbrick House is the home of PAPER Arts a social enterprise. As such we promote socially responsible coworking by ensuring rental from our professional workspaces goes towards supporting our PAPER Arts Youth Programmes for empowering and inspiring the underrepresented creatives to develop their talents.

We strongly believe that coworking, and collaboration are the quickest ways to boost your productivity, so we provide opportunities for peer to peer learning, networking and socialising. Due to this philosophy, we encourage informal and formal meet ups, from weekly cake and coffee sessions, to monthly brunch, and pub outings. Because what is the point of work if it’s not social and fun!

All our beautiful workspaces offer access to our different coworking environments including social space, communal kitchen, and the comfy snug for those moments when you just want to get away from your work, as well as free printing, high speed wifi, free flow organic coffee, tea, and fresh fruit. Also, you can use Redbrick as your official work address, and even bring your dog to work!

A workspace with plenty of light and lots different shapes of space to work in. Staff are great and there's plenty of opportunities for social interaction. There's fruit available and there's often treats. The top floor has an open feel with lots of interesting furniture. There's a gentle hum of music throughout the day. There's a great variety of people who pop in and out during the day. There's plenty of opportunities for networking in the office or during trips out for lunch or drinks. The building supports a lot of charitable work so you know your rent's going to a good cause too.

Working on the studio floor means there is enough room to store all our kit for the events we do as well as have a couple of desks. Things are quiet enough to get your head down, but busy enough that making lots of phone calls is not a problem. There is free tea and coffee (both good) and big fridge to use. Facilities are great, with bike racks, shower room and cheap parking if needs be. Everyone is friendly and we all get together for tea/coffee/cake one afternoon a week and go for delicious beers at least once a month. Everyone likes to help each other out too and with the diversity of jobs in the building you can get expert advice on more or less anything!

A tea selection like no-other

Total legends I love them. Great community. A second to none tea selection - though they could increase the supply of coconut macaroons. Also loving the fact that office pets are frequently around to help create a calming homely vibe. Good balance between solo-productivity and community interaction

I joined the Redbrick House a few days after arriving in Bristol, and it changed my working routine for good. It provides opportunities for socialising with professionals from different areas or working very quietly when needed. I also managed to make interesting connections for my business because some other organisations in the building are working in complementary industries to mine. My favourite thing is the natural light: when you work many hours having proper windows with natural light is very important to avoid headaches or claustrophobia. I also enjoy having different seating options and working spaces, because it helps me to change modes: super focused, creative, social brainstorm, meetings or calls... there is a space for each! Being able to work on Saturdays and Sundays is a plus!

Beautiful space with friendly people

I've been part of Redbrick House for 10 months now. There are loads of events and talks to get involved with, that have helped me to meet people and make useful contacts. Everybody who works here is really easy going and friendly, great atmosphere.
