This place is amazing. The centre team that work there make your stay enjoyable. Nothing is too much trouble and everything just works as you need it to and when you need it. It's a great space, with a mixture of private offices, coworking spaces, meeting rooms, communal areas and quiet zones, and being in the heart of Brighton means it’s a super convenient place to get to and to have meetings.
After 6 years in wonderful independent co-working spaces across Brighton I came to the new Spaces with a hope it would be more of the same but with a larger community and a fresh new space. Boy was I wrong. It's very clear it is only about money, complete with salesman lying to you to get you in, ZERO community, depressing office-like decor (apart from on the ground floor to make it seem "cool"), over-priced meeting room space that's never included, rooms of tele-sales and recruitment agencies, hidden extra costs, and no way to leave a years contract once you're in.
On top of this we had an on-going dispute with the salesman there, who moved us into a new room at an agreed sales-price, who then tried to increase the room price back to the standard price, when it came time to sign a contract (after we had agreed the sales price and moved all of our stuff) - After finally agreeing a mid-way price he then proceeded to attempt to literally trick me into signing a new contract, which would have changed the agreement from per room to per employee, meaning we would have paid hundreds of pounds more a month as soon as we employed a new staff member. This was attempted by sending me a new contract which he had "made slightly cheaper" for us (by £1) which he wanted us to sign because of a system error with the original contract. A complete lie.
Never go to Spaces Brighton.
