Coworking Space: ATÖLYE in Istanbul

Right after graduating I have applied for an internship at Atolye architecture office and had a chance to spend several months with the team. The structure, the way of working, equipment communication and entertainment have truly impressed me. The founders are young leaders, they follow and share a great vision. The co-workers are very responsive and know how to have fun while working. Truly inspiring atmosphere and people to work with. The highlight was for me daily events offered from co-workers like 40 min bachata dance class, mindfulness workshop, yoga session. Isn't that amazing? Please, go and check out guys. :)

ATÖLYE is a great place to work because, beyond the amazing atmosphere, super comfortable tables and great infrastructure, it is actually home to a very diverse and rich community. All members work in various creative and entrepreneurial sectors, and the events organized by them, such as feedback sessions, 101 classes and other community events actually make people connect and become friends over time. It was perfect for an expat like me to feel right at home in Istanbul. I have been going to ATÖLYE to work since July of 2016, and going there really changed my perspective of Turkey and the Turkish people.

I have tried a few co-working spaces before joining the Atölye Community, I find its stimulating, constructive and positive vibe singular in Istanbul. The selection of members is done so carefully that there is harmony both among people and I've made real friends over the course of 11 months, not just colleagues. The interior design and horticulture of Atölye plays a big role in this. When I arrive feeling tired after a series of client meetings, it's like coming home. I relax, enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and restart working. It has a great atmosphere. I like the location.

ATOLYE is located in bomontiada which is a historical brewery factory. ATOLYE is a creative hub focused on to improve interaction and co-creation between the members. There are lots of events focus on creativity, design, technology, and innovation at ATOLYE. If you're in Istanbul, you should definitely check the event schedule, I'm sure you'll find an event for you. Most of the events are free of charge. There are community events as well such as 101 Lectures, Feedback Sessions, etc. Also, bomontiada is one of the coolest places in Istanbul. There are exhibitions, concerts, shows, and nice restaurants, etc. Enjoy!

Having happily been a member of the ATÖLYE community for over a year now, I can confidently say that it's been a tremendous boon both professionally and personally. Some thoughts: Community: The member base of ATÖLYE reflects a thoughtful curation process which brings together a wide variety of backgrounds and skill sets into one collaboration-friendly home. Through the online portal & community events, it's easy to network, work together on various projects, mutually support initiatives, learn, and gain feedback from one another. Friday 'Happy Hours' built around varying themes are a personal favorite, but there's plenty of other events for members to participate in. Facilities: The space is modern, aesthetic and comfortable. Kitchen features endless quality coffee & tea, the living room area is cozy and allows people to just kick back & take a break, the library has plenty of disciplines represented, the common work-space area is carefully laid out and spacious, the meeting rooms have plenty of tech and resources to utilize, the Prototyping Lab is fully equipped for those with hands on pursuits, and the event space regularly features interesting events open to members. Plenty of outlets (plugs), fast & reliable wi-fi (a rare gem in this city), 24-hour keycard access, and security are some vital additions as well. Location: Located in an old beer factory converted into a slick complex featuring art spaces, a concert hall, a brewery, a photography academy, plenty of dining options, and huge outdoor courtyard... it's very much an inspiring place to come to. Especially amazing to spend time outside when the weather is warm. Plus the neighborhood is getting lively as well and it's a quick walk to the metro. Conclusion: A great space filled with great people. Highly recommended.

ATOLYE is a one of a kind co-working space in Istanbul. Curated atmosphere inspires me every day and causes me to learn new things and meet new people.I stay up to date in technologies and creative fields other than mine thanks to organized events some examples can be `hacking everyday objects`, `blockchain workshop`. I also use the prototyping lab constantly to make models for. my projects. Long story short it is a great space with great inspirational events and an office you share with individual creatives. I have been a member long time and never even thought about changing it.

All community members are there to share ideas and collaborate with other people. Openness is the key aspect of the community and that seriously turns this space into an effective learning environment. Little sparks of ideas got fired with the support of other people under ATÖLYE roof. To facilitate those kind of interaction between members, ATÖLUE organizes both professional and social events. There are weekly feedback sesssions in which you could tell about your project and get feedbak from the rest of this multidisciplinary community. 101 classes also help people to share skills with each other. The range of the topics in these sessions are quite dazzling. Social events also rock. There are Happy hours with free beers, Game Nights, Shamanic Rhythm Circles, BYOB(lanket) Movie Nights, Potluck Lunches, Yoga classes and Outdoor Activities that community join. Space itself is located in an old beer factory! And the interiors were designed by the team that run the space.
