Coworking Space: Cape Town Office in Cape Town

I don't even know where to begin to sing the praises of Cape Town Office. I have recently relocated back to Cape Town after being away for 18 years. Whilst I'm from here, it's like an entirely new city and almost feels like starting again. Now that we've got the context out the way, why I love this place so much will make much more sense. I have used plenty of co-working spaces abroad as well as in Cape Town. I have also worked in corporate environments and the first thing that struck me was when I walked through the door and their was Cleo with the warmest smile ready to give me a tour. At the time I was only interested in using the podcast studio and as fate would have it, the details of the podcast studio were only put on the website a few days prior to my search. As I walked around, the first thing that struck me was the space. It gave me a sense of a loft apartment that you'd just like to hang out at with friends. And the smell of the freshly made popcorn each day. And then, to my disbelief the INCREDIBLE value for money that the various packages included. And that dear reader, is where my love affair with Cape Town Office began. I signed up for a hybrid package and as the days went on and I got to know some of the other occupants, started to understand the culture and vibe and started chatting to Lizelle, the woman responsible for creating something I've never seen or felt in any other establishment I realized: hybrid wasn't enough. I wanted to be a part of this community. After my hybrid package was utilized, without failure I signed up to become a dedicated occupant and 'moved in'. My desk looks right out at Table Mountain, my coffee is free and brewed everyday and the smell of popcorn has now become how I start my day. From essentially being back in Cape Town and starting again, I have made more connections, felt a sense of community more than I have in any organization and most importantly the friends I've made since being there I can't help but think I've found my piece of Cape Town and the 3rd floor of 62 Roeland street will be a place I run my business from for years to come. A few weeks ago I used the lounge area to launch my brand and I couldn't be prouder of the space I welcomed my 24 guests to. Thank you Lizelle, for having a vision 15 years ago before coworking space was a thing, you've created something truly magical. Oh, one last thing, if you want to know how fast the internet is, think of it like a flight you catch. The internet is so fast that your luggage will be on the baggage carousel before the plain lands - THAT fast. Don't waste your time at other locations, you literally have everything you need at Cape Town Office.

The people in the office come from every corner of the world, and the people you connect with will always inspire you in so many different ways. They say once you finish school, you stop learning, but at CTO, you learn something new every day just by casually having a chat with someone while pouring coffee. I had countless priceless conversations. Your adult tuition fees are worth it :) Truly appreciate this space.

I came in for a "two-day trial" of The Cape Town Office over twelve years ago. Nobody told me the trial ends. I'm 62 now, I've outlasted 2 coffee machines, at least four kettles & 2 repaintings, and I'm fairly sure the cleaning staff assume I'm part of the lease agreement. I really didn't think I'd like coworking. I pictured beanbags, ping pong tables, and 22-year-olds with sculpted faces and beards. But there's decent wifi, great coffee, great people from all over the world and our amazing leader Lizelle who has seen me through good times and some very bad times. She’s not just the owner, she’s my good and trusted friend. Somewhere along the way "trial" turned into "this is just where I work now." My desk has a dent in the shape of my elbows. I've seen people come and go, start businesses, fail at businesses, get married, get divorced — I'm basically furniture with opinions. Would I recommend? Dam right I would.

You feel like a part of the community and people are genuine and helpful. Free coffee and the snacks are very reasonably priced.

Excellent amenities and great wifi + the packages are make sense regardless of circumstances.

Cape Town Office works perfectly for our our staff at business news site bizcommunity.com. Cape Town Office offers the flexibility for any of our employees to work from the office x days a week or month, or whole departments can get together for a day, allowing them the option to work remotely or meet as needed. We really enjoy the face-to-face interaction in the office, the great coffee, all-day popcorn and views and other free amenities such as meeting rooms and even a recording studio! Nice community atmosphere. I find it stands out as a co-working space because other spaces we tried feels more like a canteen and it is distracting and diffecult to be productive... At Cape Town Office there are many contained areas to choose from where one person or a small team can work and be focused.

Popcorn. live sports on big occasions. arcade games when you want a break. and most importantly great people. chatty but not too chatty wifi = amazing, i believe its sitting at 1GB/s

I recently spent some time working from Cape Town Office and had a really positive experience. The space has a welcoming atmosphere, is well maintained, and offers everything you need to work comfortably. The team was friendly and helpful, which made settling in very easy. What I appreciated most was the balance between a professional working environment and a relaxed, community feel. It is a great place for focused work, meetings, or simply connecting with other professionals. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable co-working space in Cape Town.

I quite like the flexibility, CTO is open 24hrs and with my ever changing schedule I do not have to worry about offices hours. Its quite easy to loose track of time as well with the activities within the office, beyond the free popcorn and coffee there is an entire library to pick a read from and my personal fav the arcade games for those 5 mins you want a breather. I would highly recommend checking this place out

Cape Town Office was the best move to make. Working for an overseas company from home can get lonely. So I joined CTO and haven't looked back. I couldn't imagine working anywhere else. The security, people, Internet, Vida coffee and trendy eateries around it make it a really great place to be. It's a very productive place to be. And the Friday beer gatherings certainly help the cause.

The space is wonderful and provide a great admosphere. Yet, it is the community and how we are with another that makes the space the amazing place it is... The view of table mountain is also not bad. :)

Their coworking culture is excellent. Big vinyl collection, beer fridge, modern and cozy space, and the COOLEST people.

I've been a member at CTO for just over 3 years now. Best decision I have ever made for myself and the business. Besides the obvious, from 24/7 access, great location in Cape Town, sophisticated and functional facilities with meeting rooms, boardrooms for all sizes and business nature, be it startups or existing business. For me is the immense human resource available. I've found an amazing mentor, collaborators and a variety of expertise and knowledge within reach...All members of Cape Town Office! It's not just a working place but where dreams are materialized.

To be honest. Of I didn't have a office. That's where I'll go to work. The office is spacious, stylish and vibrant. You have many awesome people around you while still being able to focus on your work. The atmosphere encourages productivity and excellence.

The Cape Town Office is so much more than an office space. The facilities are superb, the location is brilliant with loads of coffee shops/restaurants around the corner. I have used co-working spaces in London, NYC & LA and non compare to CTO. Lizzle and her team go above and beyond and I can't wait to visit again!

Active community to take part in hikes, lunches and evening events. I travel the world 6 months a year, and have always come back to CTO. I have been here for 3 and a half years and have loved every minute of it.

Central location, Lizelle the owner is just an amazing human, very accommodating to everyone. Really nice vibe in the office but quiet enough to get work done.

Excellent facilities, managment is done very well ensuring you have whatever you need wheever you need it. Located in the hub of the city, great for internal and external meetings. Coffee shop in the ground floor, office also has facilities should it be preferrable. One of the best coworking spaces in cities around the world.

Cape Town Office was my first coworking space experience when I first started working remotely and continues to be the best experience I have had! The founder is super welcoming and helpful while also very professional. The space is modern but also artsy, so a great space for creatives and the views of both Table Mountain and the ocean don't get any better than from your desk! It is great space to work, very well located in a safe area, super internet connexion, comfortable furniture, there is a kitchen area, great views of the city and awesome terrace with swimming pool. The perfect atmosphere to work, you connect with local people and also people from around the world, the members are very collaborative and helpful but the best thing about the space is Lizelle, the owner and space manager, who makes CTO the most special coworking in Cape Town. I have been working here for more than a year, and it is different, but we get along like family, everything is good here, friendly environment - family environment ...different companies and we communicate and also assist where we can should help be needed. A group of people with different skills and ideas and creativity so this positive environment compliments with what I do, should I be stuck I am comfortable to brainstorm in a little room, I am inspired by this idea, and think should be more of these offices around Cape Town. Centrally located with a fantastic view over Cape Town! Even if I did not need a coworking space I would book in here just to have the experience. There is not one downside. The people are awesome too. CTO has a vibe here that just speaks to you, the atmosphere is alive with business and new ideas will fly to you just by conversing with those around you. The restaurants, coffee shops, and bookshop across the road are all well worth your money. Added to all this you get fast data, good music and fresh interior design that just pumps up your motivation! Can't wait to go again.

The Cape Town office is where I go every day to do my work. I could stay at home and still do my job just as well, but I don't, because I value and appreciate the notion of "going in to work". At the Cape Town Office I have MY desk, with great hi-speed WIFI, I have coffee on tap, I have excellent office supplies (like printers or scanner or a board room), and a communal kitchen where I can make my lunch. So, those are the basics. But what makes this space special are the personal touches - the extra apples that are for everyone to share, the cool IG bios of all the people in the space, the office gettogethers, the glorious plants that give the space a living edge, and above all an open, fun and caring vibe.

Lizzie is a perfect host. The space and the community is thriving. If you need a desk in Cape Town it's perfect. and being at the top of town you're in the middle of it all but not. Just great. I've worked there since it all started in 2011 and have seen the spaces come on leaps and bounds. Cape Town is an amazing place to work and when you get bored the wine routes, the beach and the mountains can take up the slack and re-energise you. I'm in the Uk now but will be back later in the year. Keep it all going Lizzie!

the space has a good community with Lizelle taking care of everybody - we've been greeted warmly. the best: wifi speed is >50 mb/s up and down! what a relief from all the cafes with painfully slow network and caps. location is nice and safe, also the coffee here is good. you even get a batch so you can come and go as you wish. we've tried other coworking spaces in cape town but this one is by far the best. they have flexible offers if you only need a few hours. highly recommended. have fun in cape town! cheers.

Cape Town Office is a great co-working space that I have utilised, and would do so again. Over the past 10 years I have used a number of locations from South Africa to other African regions and the UK. What I believe to be most important is a diversity of service and options to suit various business needs/requirements. Of.all the location s that I have utilised none went so far to really accommodate my business, staff and otherwise business requirements as CTO. Lizelle and her team go above and beyond o ensure full teams are well supported. I could not recommend this space more. For individuals, start-ups and otherwise SMEs. Lizelle is an impressive entrepreneur and is much more than only a host. Lizelle works tirelessly to connect people and create solutions, there really is no better working environment.

The location is central and the wifi is fantastic- always important. Not only is this a brilliant place to do you work, but also to make friends and get to know people from a variety of backgrounds. I worked at Cape Town Office for a day and was very impressed. Warren, the host, is extremely friendly and welcoming - as are the other co-workers. Convenient parking across the road at Fruit and Veg City car park. High quality wifi.

My first day here and this is incredible, by far the best co-working space I have experienced and really embodies the needs of a co-working space. Clean, light, quiet with excellent facilities, central location, safe, secure, wifi is fast, warm friendly welcoming vibe. Totally recommend it!

I worked at CTO for 2 months and loved it. the internet is excellent at 100mb fiber. You get your own desk which is great but the best thing overall is the sense of community there. I made some great friends there and will be back there again for another month. I tried other spots in CT before that CTO but it is by faaaar the best place to work. Lizelle is awesome and really holds the place together as the matriarch. See you soon again Lizelle :)

Recently our production company had to have a call with UNAIDS through a webinar, and the Cape Town Office was super great for fast internet, friendly service and a quiet space to host the important call. Will be using their services again!

What a perfect mix of a place to work: familial, quirky, professional and fun! I have worked at other co-working spots in Cape Town, but this one tops them all. Lizelle and all the folks working there have managed to create a homey place, which is productive and so welcoming. Getting set up was quick and easy, and from then on, it's just a great place to be - clean, friendly, great service - and then fast internet. And lots of great co-workers to make a long work day pleasant. Loved it.

I can highly recommend this space. It's a very open community with amazing and very kind people that help each other out. The space is very central located and has everything you need. I had been thinking of starting a business for quite some time last year, having been to most coffe shops in town and eatery places looking for a place to plug my laptop I finally had enough and decided to get a professional space to work from but still not have the pressure of an office with the long leases, huge rental prices. I found CAPE TOWN OFFICE, where flexibility to work anytime you want ( and I mean that., 2 o´clock, 5o´clok doesn´t matter ) you have exactly 24/7 acess. Make your breafast with a perfectly equipped kitchen, a very friendly environment and all the perks that you would need. I dearly recommend CAPE TOWN office, for its opportunity to start small and safe alot on overheads cost as well as grow your team as you go along and if things change to worse you´re not stcuk with a long term contract.

Its a great place to sit down and get a few hours work done with minimal distractions. Close to all the needed amenities and what nots that one could need in Cape Town.

CTO brought my career back with a bang! It provided me with a social and productive environment where I could reach my career objectives. Working from home alienated me and setting up meeting was always difficult. CTO's Skype and two different conference rooms augmented what I brought to the table, at every single meeting.

It has a great location in town and the facilities are top notch. Multiple meeting rooms are available and manages that fine line of being quirky and professional fantastically. Nevermind that the marketing agencies that I go to all are jealous of the Arcade games available for free!

I had the pleasure of working with Lizelle and the many other wonderful people at Roeland Street. People work hard, but take the time to interact and get to know one another. For anyone who needs to affordably work and overlap with people, I can only highly recommend that you try them out.

CTO is conveniently located downtown close to cafes, pubs, restaurants, and a grocery store. The people are awesome and Lizelle is good at getting people mingling. CTO also has free coffee and tea, a large common area and fast internet. I miss it there!

CTO is all about the people who care. Lizelle, Johann and everyone who helps them create the perfect working space with all facilities and little extras you need right on your fingertips. All you need to do is to concentrate on your business...the rest is taken care of!

I worked at Cape Town office for four or five months in 2015-2016. The location is great, the internet is really strong (at least on the third floor), there's free coffee and lots of awesome social events to get everyone mingling. There's also a grocery store across the street so you can grab a cheap lunch and there are awesome cafes down the street. Lizelle knows everything about Cape Town and is a really good resource for travelers - not to mention an awesome person! If you have the opportunity to rent a desk or space here, do it!

I worked at CTO for a number of years, between the fantastic access to working space and top notch ammenities with the opportunity to network that is second to none. I am from the UK an the requitement for me anf my business was quite complicated, CTO was more than able to provide me with what I needed and accommodating to extra requirements. 24 hour access allowed for foreign contracts and resources accross the globe to be run and completed with ease. The management is very supportive with strong business understanding, entreprenurial orientated thus giving an appreciation for modern business needs on a global scale. From start-up to emerging business to expanding operation I can not reccommend CTO enough. Great location with restaurnts and cafes close by, central to Cape Town so handy for meetings and only 15 mins from international airport.

I am a commercial property broker and my offices are situated just out of the central Cape Town area. For this reason I work at The Cape Town Office as it is ideally situated not only in the heart of the city but also in the heart of The Fringe area which is probably one of the most convenient and diverse locations that the city has to offer. Cape Town, rated as the most beautiful city in the world, attracts corporate and creative businesses from not only the whole country but thought the world. Tourists come here for the beauty and energy of the city, and CT Office is the epitomy of this. It's a pleasant working space, and I have noticed that management here go out of their way to make you feel welcome and try and bring a smile on your face even on the grimmest of stressful working days. With amazing and well priced eateries all around the venue, this is a must for not only the young creative type business but the more corporate as well. Compared to similar options, CT Office is not only well priced, but is well equipped with all your business needs, along with a few extra touches that you should look out for. I've been using different coworking spaces for more then 6 years in Cape Town (there was only one in the beginning) and this is by far the greatest place to work at, I've come across. Less hipsters and more friendliness. Great people at the space and a fantastic atmosphere. We are three people working there now from our company and really love the positive vibe.

Cape Town Office is a great place to work, it's beautiful well maintained, and the people are really nice. You can easily get input from people in different fields. It's clean and secure, and if you want to take a short brake from your work you can visit the arcade games corner.

CTO Is the perfect balance between a serious workspace and a cool place to hangout. It is where I go when I need to be inspired, network, hangout and really focus on getting stuff done! It is situated just off the freeway which makes coming to work and going home a breeze.

The CTO team have gone above and beyond to create an exciting space - not just aesthetically pleasing, but functional, fun and conducive to providing a co-working environment that "works". Centrally located, safe working environment with an interesting mix of people from different industries who soon feel like an extended part of one's family rather than a neighboring desk inhabitant.

I've been at CTO for a number of years and love it there. The people are great and the work space is awesome. It's a great alternative to working from home and a great solution for a company that doesn't need much space to operate. It's also in a great location with multiple coffee shops and restaurants all very nearby.

I've been working at CTO for about 1.5 years now and have no regrets. I like the fact that we have our own dedicated desks, which is great if you have extra equipment such as a printer or second screen. And there's no need to worry about leaving your equipment on your desk after hours; there's a security gate at the entrance and only residents of CTO have access to it. Add to this the great vibe, cool crowd and commitment & dedication of Lizelle who runs the office. I'd never want to go back to working from home!

My business was based at CTO for over a year. Lizelle was very accommodating to our needs. The location is also great as its in a quieter part of town, meaning you still have access to the CBD without fighting for parking.

I have had a desk at Cape Town Office for a number of years and love it there. The facilities are great, and the people are awesome. It's also located around a number of coffee shops and restaurants.

Convenient location, very reasonable prices, very reliable internet

I've been here at the Cape Town Office for about a year and a half now and have to say it was the best career move I've made. Before this I worked from home which got to be a bit lonely and there were always distractions. Its a much more healthy environment because you're surrounded by busy working people so you feed off that energy. Theres also a great advantage with fellow co-workers needing your services so the spin offs have been amazing. It's not all work, I've made some very good long term friends here and socially, its a very cool place to work.

Love the open plan design of CTO. It allows everyone to work but not feel isolated. There's a real community feel here - lots of ideas and skills sharing, and beers after work too!

Cape Town Office is the perfect place to get work done (spacious desks, fast internet, printing facilities), get a positive vibe even on busy days (awesome and interesting crowd), and to really enjoy the freedom of not having to go to an office every day from 9-5 (24/7 access). If I had to move out, I'd be seriously sad.
