Overview of The Guild Hall

A board game anticafe, cowork spot, and event venue located in the heart of Cluj. The Guild Hall is the place where you can get work done, play board games, or just chill. It's a space where geekiness, creativity, and out-of-the-box thinking are celebrated and encouraged.

We have two open-space areas and two meeting rooms, each equipped with a projector, large flat-screen TVs, and a coffee area (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and a vending machine with all the good stuff).

Cozy work space close to everything

In my search for a cozy place which can accommodate a week of remote working, I stumbled upon Guild Hall. I was astonished by how well the place combines coziness, fun and calmness. The place has 3 floors: 2 of which offer a great mix of sofas, chairs and tables, plenty of sockets and a large space to accommodate small and medium size groups. I noticed that it is mostly individual people or small groups who came here. The third floor has 2 medium sized conference rooms (10+seats) with all the equipment necessary for meetings, trainings or video calls. Internet worked excellent throughout the whole week. Moreover, the place is well taken care of and they even had coffee, water and tea included in the price of the entrance. The gaming theme and shop proved to be a great addition to the environment. You can buy and play board games there as well. During my stay there I joined one of their board game events and it was quite fun. However, throughout the day people mostly come to work or to relax here, so it didn't feel chaotic or loud at all. One issue I had was the parking space. All the parking spaces in the area are either short term or expensive. Therefore, I would suggest giving yourself a bit more time to find a suitable spot if you come by car.

This place is absolutely amazing! I have discovered it by mistake on a working trip to Cluj. It is very central and has great conditions. This place is great value for money. Once the entrance fee is paid, everything from drinks (coffee, tea, water etc) to air condition, great wi-fi, conference rooms and a very pleasant environment is provided. You can also order food to the location but are also surrounded by restaurants, due to being in the central area. They also have student discounts, which is really cool! This co-working space is also a game boarding location, so after a full workday, you can also relax and play games (included in the already paid entrance fee). The segmentation of the location is very good so the noise from people playing was not a problem for the whole week I worked here. The staff was very very nice and the decor is absolutely beautiful! It is a perfect combination between the elegance and simplicity of a coworking space and the mystique sense of adventure characteristic to a quality game boarding place. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great, laid-back location

Very relaxed atmosphere with the added bonus that you can learn and play a quick game or two in your breaks. The WiFi and internet speed are great; the staff is super friendly; the free, quality tea is personally appreciated. The setting is neat and tidy, the chairs are comfy. The central location makes it really easy to access, being close to important bus stops.
