In the most centric point of the ‘city of the seven hills’, you’ll always be on top of the vibrant Portuguese Capital in this nine-floor business complex. With its offices, meeting rooms and co-working areas, the space is adaptable to however you work best. You’ll have everything you need under one roof, as this site has 24-hour access, dedicated parking, on-site showers and a lunchtime deli cafe. There are fantastic green spaces outside the doors, with the huge Parque Eduardo VII opposite the building. Next to this, the Marquês de Pombal station gives you access to any point in the city via bus or subway.

From there you’ll be able to check out some of the local cultural attractions. House - Museum Medeiros E Almeida and the Foundation Arpad Szenes-Vieira da Silva Museum are both intriguing insights into the art and culture that’s existed in Lisbon for hundreds of years. Back in the business centre, you’ll find a modern space with plenty of light and balconies on the upper floors. The public areas also feature comfortable seating, sky television and great opportunities to network with fellow Lisbon professionals. What’s more, there’s high-speed Wi-Fi across the building, so wherever you are in this well-equipped co-working space, you’ll be at your most productive.

If you’re considering Spaces Marquês de Pombal in Lisbon, do yourself a favor: run in the opposite direction. This location is an unmitigated disaster, and the core of the problem lies with their so-called "Community Manager," Olimpia Carregosa. Let’s start with the basics. You’d expect a co-working space to prioritize professionalism, organization, and creating an environment conducive to work. Instead, you’re greeted with utter chaos and a level of incompetence that defies belief. Spaces boasts about being a premium co-working space, but this particular branch operates more like a dysfunctional community center. Olimpia Carregosa – The Core Problem This woman is, without a doubt, the most unprofessional and unpleasant "manager" I’ve ever encountered. Her complete disregard for customer needs, lack of communication skills, and condescending attitude make her utterly unfit for her role. Poor Communication: Emails go unanswered for days, if not weeks. When you do finally get a response, it’s as though she’s doing you a favor by acknowledging your existence. Forget about clarity or solutions; her replies are vague at best and dismissive at worst. Zero Accountability: Have an issue? Good luck. Instead of solving problems, Olimpia is a master of excuses. She’ll blame everyone but herself, never taking responsibility for the messes she creates. Rudeness: I have never encountered someone so hostile in a customer-facing role. She’s not just unhelpful; she actively makes you feel unwelcome. Her arrogance and patronizing demeanor are truly unmatched. The Facilities – A Joke Let’s not forget the space itself, which is falling apart under her "management." The Wi-Fi is a joke. Expect constant disruptions, making it impossible to have a simple Zoom call. Cleanliness? Forget it. The bathrooms are often dirty, and common areas are poorly maintained. Overcrowded: Despite charging a premium, they cram as many people as possible into the space, with no regard for comfort or productivity. Overpriced for Mediocrity Spaces Marquês de Pombal charges an arm and a leg for what? A glorified coffee shop where nothing works? And don't even think about asking for help – Olimpia will find a way to make you regret ever trying. Final Thoughts I’ve worked in co-working spaces around the world, and Spaces Marquês de Pombal stands out for all the wrong reasons. The toxic atmosphere, thanks to Olimpia Carregosa’s abysmal management, combined with subpar facilities, makes this place a total waste of money. If you value your time, energy, and sanity, stay far away from this circus. I can only hope IWG (the parent company) takes a hard look at what’s happening here and replaces the so-called "Community Manager" with someone who actually cares about the community.

With a modern and relaxed environment, where we can adapt all our work needs between the open cowork, meeting rooms, phone booths and private offices. They have bicycle parking, which is ideal for escaping the traffic in Lisbon, but it is also very close to the Metro for rainy days. There is a cafeteria that allows us to have lunch and snacks if we are not able to leave the building during working hours, which also allows us to learn about new businesses among the other center's users. I couldn't have chosen a better place to start my business!

Spaces Marquês de Pombal is situated in Lisbon's city centre, one of the most busy and prominent spots in the city. This is a wonderful place to work in, has a beautiful and modern business club with lots of natural light where you can work and chill at the same time, a deli to have a cup of coffee, comfortable offices with fantastic views and an extremely friendly team to welcome you, gym and also a gaming room. Loads of transport facilities right outside the door, bus, underground and also a bike lane that connects you to anywhere in the city. Green leisure areas, restaurants, and comercial areas just outside the door. Come and check it out!
