About Coventry

Located in central England and known for its medieval Coventry Cathedral that was in ruins after a World War II bombing, Coventry is a metropolitan borough and the 2nd largest city in the West Midlands after Birmingham that is only 31km away. It's actually the most central city in the whole of England and 153km northwest of London. The town has won the title of UK City of Culture 2021 and it's home to 2 universities giving its streets a youthful and vibrant vibe with many hanging out in coworking spaces attempting to get their startup dreams happening.

Historically cloaked in castles, nunneries and monasteries, it has had its fair share of invaders over the years from Saxons to the Danish running amok on its land. During the Middle Ages it was one of the largest and most important cities in England and today it's where an annual Peace Month is held, as it's considered to be one of Europe's major cities of peace and reconciliation. There is a plethora of museums to poke your nose into if you are a bit of a history buff and the Roman Lunt Fort on its outskirts will have you wetting your pants in excitement.

The startup scene in the United Kingdom is said to be one of the fastest growing in the whole of Europe according to figures over the last 5 years when there has been 392,627 new tech startups launched in the country. The most growth showed up in the niche sectors of Internet, fintech and software. The UK has an attractive environment for tech businesses in that it offers great foundations and ecosystems for innovative minds to get their ideas off the ground. Coworking is but one more step in supporting intrepid brains where it's possible to connect and collaborate with likeminded souls.
