Petridish offers world class facilities in a thoughtful custom designed refurbished Heritage Building in the heart of the city of Dunedin. Its loosely collaborative nature allows every single business to be more than a sum of it's parts. Unobtrusive, genuinely helpful management does exactly what it should : enhancing networking opportunities and facilitating productivity.

Excellent facilities all over - proper Aeron chairs and height-adjusting desks for all; office dogs (very well behaved, and often cute); great kitchen facilities; meeting rooms with conferencing/presentation AV; an open & friendly set of inhabitants; and warm!

AMAZING owners who care about the people that work there. Excellent group of people to work alongside and fun times. Spaces available suit every different need.

Kate and Jason have built a community that encourages creative Entrepreneurship. It's more than just a place and a space - it's a whole community. I love it!

Petridish co-working space is pretty special for a number of reasons, in fact there are so many reasons I probably can't cover them all here, but I will try! Petridish is located in one of the most amazing triple brick & steel heritage buildings in Dunedin. There is something a bit magical about knowing you are part of a new era of co-working in a building over a hundred years old with a rich history of production and business. The owners of Petridish, Kate & Jason Lindsey have transformed a run-down, forgotten building into a co-working treasure, which is literally a delight to work in. Kate and Jason are integral to the Petridish vibe, as they are the generous heart and soul of the space that touches everyone who works in the building and makes Petridish not just a workplace but a community. This means Petridish is more than just a place to work as people help each other, share ideas, give advice, listen when you have a problem, and this creates an environment that is truly collaborative. Petridish offers a huge range of opportunities - from workshops, hosting events, organising business networks and mentoring, creating funding and pitching opportunities, social occasions, to te reo Maori classes, on-site massage therapy, yoga classes and regular weekly afternoon teas (and this is to name just a few of the events going on) - that creates a vibrant, informed and inclusive workplace where everyone, quite literally, knows your name. The sense of community also means you feel like Petridish is YOUR work place, not just a desk you rent in some unknown landlord's building. Petridish is comprised of multiple gorgeous work spaces - encompassing both the stylish and the practical in loads of ways-to-work-options. Each thoughtfully designed floor has comfortable couches, tables and chairs, top of the line standing/sitting desks, kitchen facilities with tea/coffee on tap, meeting rooms equipped with state of the art technology, and amazing views with lots of natural light. There is the noisy floor and the quiet zone allowing for different noise needs and ways of working. Pick your floor and work space - cafe style, desk, high-table, private office - Petridish is all about choices and something for everyone. In addition to awesome office and work floors, Petridish, as I said is a bit magical, so it's not surprising it also has bonus spaces that mean once you arrive, you really never have to leave the building. This is genius for those Dunedin days when weather keeps you from venturing outside too far, so why not pop down to the ground floor cafe for delicious food and coffees during the day and your craft beers in the evening. Alternatively, if you wish you could be outside but work commitments are keeping you in the building...wander up to the private, huge enclosed outdoor patio on the top floor for a Friday BBQ, outdoor lunch, laptop work in the fresh air, or that sunny-day meeting - the Petridish really is a co-working world with all your needs taken care of. And as if that wasn't enough, all of this exists within the heart of Dunedin city's vibrant warehouse precinct - a few minutes from the Octagon and home of fantastic cafes, views and business innovation. Why would you NOT want to work at Petridish?

The most generous community I've ever come across, both in time and expertise. Kate and Jason at the dish have cultivated an amazing workspace and really care about giving new startups every opportunity to succeed, as well as supporting established businesses.

It is a friendly, vibrant and relaxed environment to work in. Great coffee, cute pups and treats galore. Run by dedicated professionals who cannot do enough for you. Highly recommended!

The modern facilities and lively inspiring culture are exactly what I was looking for in a coworking space. It's a great pleasure to be part of such a vibrant community of startups, freelancers, and remote workers whom I can also call as my friends. The team of Jason and Kate Lindsey have created an environment and experience that is world-class in our humble city of Dunedin, Zealand. Due to the high contagiousness of intelligent conversations, cross-contamination of great business ideas at the Petridish can't be contained! :)

I've worked in many shared spaces before where you are just a face in a room. Petridish changes by actively promoting collaboration amongst it's members on both a business and personal level. It's a joy to go into the office.

Petridish allow new people to start rent free. They provide wraparound support by offering services for free in the start up phase. They provide mentoring and support and are like a mum and dad to start-ups. They also organise many seminars for free to the community and offer Moari language learning as well. they have a growing vision and provide a cafe and bar and are looking to have a makers space as well.

Where to start! Great networks both people and internet. Lovely old building beautifully restored. Fabulous views of Dunedin and its harbour. Support people are always friendly and helpful. Well appointed Meeting rooms, Kitchens and Bathrooms. Variety of desk options.

Gorgeous refurbished building, excellent facilities, reasonable pricing. Tiny businesses get to hang out with like-minded people, numerous get togethers with fund raising and business networking events. Jason and Kate have created a wonderful comfortable and friendly space

Physically, it is a brilliant space - beautifully created in a wonderful old building. The social architecture is very craftily designed and the community there exists there is magic. That's thanks to Kate and Jason who work really hard and have created a thriving and supportive community. They are very unobtrusive, generous and humble as community creators and, as if by magic, other people catch that way of operating.

The building is beautiful, spacious, modern and in an excellent location. There is an amazing atmosphere and community.

Petridish has a great energy to it. Kate and Jason are doing a great service to not only its members but to the community it works within too. I've worked at other co-working spaces before but this really takes it to the next level. Further to that, the participation is really up to you - it's not mandatory so you can be as solo as you like and just enjoy being in a buzzy place, but if you do choose to participate the opportunities are there.

It is more than a working space. You become part of a community. The facilities are amazing and it's a fun and stimulating environment to be a part of.
