Coworking Space: Convivio in Oaxaca

Both cause of the super cosy surroundings, yet room to be professional and focused - but more important people :)

Convivio works for so many types of work... there is a variety of spaces that allows you to type, chat, journal, build, print, meet, paint, conceptualize, eat, play with a cruel cat, etc. Strong coffee (and don't forget mezcal!) keeps the work going and provides you with a good excuse to get up and check in with coworkers. I could easily work at home but that wouldn't feed my work, stimulate the ideas and push me like working among other creatives, other nonprofits, other friends does. It's a good place to be. Always something happening, always a reason to hang out and explore. I particularly enjoy the cooking classes, ongoing art exhibits and multimedia events (concerts, films, djs, poetry or all of the above at once). Perfect name - it's a perfect convivencia (hang out) of ideas, productivity and community.

This place is great. It's funky and different and definitely stands out in Oaxaca as a spot where people really want to be. The spaces are diverse and there are nooks and crannies outside. Amazing patio and just overall great people, vibe and services. There's always a bottle of mezcal at the side of the coffee pot and even snacks and other goodies that I've not found at other coworking spaces in Mexico. I love all the little dinosaur toys as well... and the plastic luchadores everywhere. Never a dull moment at Convivio. The hotelito is also very cool (though not part of the coworking situation).

The place is very well located in the downtown area of Oaxaca, has very good services, is a large place with outdoor spaces, coffee service and kitchen, also has lodging service and private offices. The work environment is very inspiring, you can make great friends and meet people who help or contribute with your work, as you can add to the activities of other coworkers. There is a screen for outdoor screenings, visiting chefs prepare food, an excellent place to work and make friends, taste delicious food from different parts of the world. . . . Definitely an excellent place!!!

In Convivio you can go and work in a quiet enviroment, with interesting indoor and outdoor working spaces and great music. Besides working during business hours the team at Convivio organize different events, movies, concerts, art, tastings, interesting classes and many different events, the best coworking and community in Oaxaca. The location of Convivio is great, right in front of the biggest public park in Oaxaca, close to restaurants and well communicated by car or public bus. Convivio´s team is multinational, they are kind and enthusiast. Convivio is more than a coworking space is a community center where you can work and meet new people.

Great place to work. Lots of friendly faces. Activities to get to know each other at lunch time. Community vibe is strong here. There are outdoor working spaces as well as indoor. Convivio is amazing. It's beautiful for a start - a really inspiring and comfortable place to work, and there is always really good coffee and often amazing treats for when you need a break. There's a huge outdoor space with seating for fresh air and the interior is just lush - really good for working but then also a really warm social feel to everything. All of which is only added to by the free mezcal (amazing!) and honesty bar for beers etc. The staff are AWESOME, they will do anything for you and are always able to point you in the direction of a great nearby lunch spot or pretty much anything you might need or want. They have some really interesting evening events at the space after the co-working closes too so there is a real community feel to the whole thing, and you find a lot of really interesting, lovely people; international and local workers and artists coming through Convivio. It's super cool. I stayed upstairs in the Hotelito too which was amazing - lovely fresh breakfast every morning and super comfortable and stylish room. Really handy if you're working but also want a good base to explore Oaxaca from. I love Convivio, official.

Comfortable, cozy, and beautiful setting in the center of Oaxaca. Super friendly staff and coworkers. Coffee, snacks, and a kitchen to cook lunch. There's space to work indoors, space to work outdoors, and quiet nooks where you can Skype/meet online if necessary. Plus an ever-present watchful cat, Don Gato, who makes sure everything's running smoothly (but doesn't get in your face, unless you are a dog). Also great events in evenings/on weekends happen here, which make it easy to connect with others in Oaxaca. A real hub of activity and connection. Highly recommend for those traveling through or those living in Oaxaca.

I hosted an event at Convivio in which I needed WiFi and their kitchen and their physical assistance moving things and they were extremely helpful while respecting the needs of their other guests and clients. I looked around Oaxaca for a suitable space that was both big, but quiet/intimate and really only found Convivio. The wifi was probably the best in Oaxaca that I experienced, while the owners and the other guests and co-workers were super cool, down to earth, and respectful of the event I was putting on as well. I would definitely use convivios space again, without question.

I stayed at Convivio Art Residencies for a while last year and I used the co-working space as it is part of my stay-package. I only experienced great vibes in an artistic & modern environment The hosts & the staff are so knowledgeable & smart and will make you feel home right away. The location is convenient, the premises clean and the free coffee makes for a great kick-start for your creative project. They also rent working spaces so if you enjoyed your first time, next time you return you can reserve your very own personal space to work on. Working here was the highlight of our time in Oaxaca. The staff are very friendly, and there is a lot of opportunity to meet other coworkers in Oaxaca. They had group lunches sometimes where you can meet other coworkers and enjoy some tasty food outside on the patio area. We loved the chill, friendly atmosphere. They have a full kitchen there that can be used by the coworkers throughout the day. We made good use of the kitchen for lunches! They was also always coffee and water available. All for a very affordable price. Thanks for the awesome time guys!

Such a great space, run by such lovely people! If you need somewhere to workin Oaxaca this is your place! Jen and Gary are so hospitable and make you feel really welcome! The space is a hub of creativity with some amazing artworks. They have some really enjoyable events happening regularly and are really knowledgable of the local area and culture. I found the wi fi was excellent and really enjoyed the delicious coffee and treats regularly supplied. The atmosphere is really productive and I found it an enjoyable blend of enough space to work but nice chats and social times too!

I love that it doesn't feel like a cold office space. It's comfortable and decorated with great taste. It has a home comfort/ cool cafe feel. There is also plenty of places to escape if you need privacy. The team so super proactive and helpful. They are doing their best to not only host of creative work environment but also build a social atmosphere. They hold different events each week - even during off season. Many of the staff have lived here for some time so they are full of advice or tips. I will be back!

The location was ideal, the design was appealing, internet was fast/reliable, the coffee was much appreciated, the Mezcal was the perfect touch and the company was great; everyone made me feel welcome.

Convivio is a the best coworking space right in the heart of Oaxaca, great working spaces, atmosphere and the best service by the owners an operators, I feel right at home!

Convivio is a creative space for working, connecting and sharing. The owners are a young couple who strive to establish this place as #The place to be in the city.. and they do an amazing job so far. Except the convenient location, the super fast internet, the fresh brewed coffee, the bright working space and the laid out atmosphere, you can also rent an office space if you want for short or long term as well as rent a residency (twin, double or king). All in all, its a fresh, new, innovative, artistic space in the heart of Oaxaca City. There is also a professional copy center in 2 min walking distance in case you need to print anything from a A4 page to a gig poster or a B5 map. Highly recommended.

The space is well laid out, comfortable and considered. Great attention to detail, I worked really well in the space and im fussy as hell! Free coffee helped me pull thru an afternoon inspiration drought and its the perfect location, so close to all the food vendors in the park, we ate like king and queen! Great internet speed, handled my conference call no problem and the library room is perfect to get a few minutes to yourself. Cant wait to see the rest of the space finished, looking forward to being able to work outside too!
