Being sports obsessed, Melbourne has five international sporting facilities literally on the doorstep of its city heart, historical 19th Century buildings in tree lined streets, a vibrant river scene with the Southbank precinct perched on the riverbank complete with flash hotels and a casino. For those that love to soak up some culture, the Melbourne Arts Precinct includes the National Gallery of Victoria where you can find Australian and Indigenous art on display.
