"Seriously cool digs with seriously good coffee!"

    March 2018

Hub Southern Cross is an absolute standout! It's located in the old Mail Exchange building right opposite Southern Cross Station (a stone's throw from the Skybus terminal), a beautiful art-deco building with great character inside and out. The space is peppered with greenery and features beautiful timbers, a design that calms the soul, and features the best of everything (including gym and meditation room). The community is packed with interesting people doing amazing things, and every time I chat to someone I learn about how they tap into other community members to access services or generate new ideas. The weekly 'mixed bag lunch' is always a treat - every second week it's a 'bring a plate' affair which showcases the diverse culinary talents of the members, YUM! The Hub team also encourages participation in other activities, such as 'wine down' every Friday afternoon (which is always abuzz) and 'lunch and learn' sessions on a Thursday. And they rally members to participate in events like the Royal Melbourne Hospital Foundation's 'Ride to Recovery' - a 12 hour cycling event, where a bike will be hooked up in the space and members and staff will take turns make sure the peddles keep spinning all day! It truly is a special and unique place to work!
