Coworking Space: The Hatchery Place in Subang Jaya

The Hatchery Place is just a lot more than an airbnb or a place to stay/work. It's the vision and passion of two local enterpreneurs that has shaped into, amongst others, a community of like minded people and a space to pursue projects. At the moment of this writing I've been living here for 4 months and I've become really good friends with many community members. As a solo traveler/digital nomad, this place has provided me with the community I was hoping to find. I was prepared to stay only for a couple weeks if I didn't like it but turns out I did like it (I am planning to stay 2-4 more months). The space is a fully functional house, the kitchen is simple and small but it does the job, I cook most of the days simple yummy stuff.

The space is very peaceful, homelike and comfy. The hosts are very nice and friendly. It's actually a house so you wouldn't feel trapped as if you're in an office. The deco is very artsy and quirky - lots of pretty items and nice ambiance around you. It is also quite near to shops as well if you feel like taking a walk or a break in between.They also provide coffee and tea, which is great! I'm glad that I could spend a few productive hours here after many months of having writer's block. (And their cat is sho sho adowable!)

The first thing you will notice when entering The Hatchery Place is its huge chalk decorated black wall, with their logo and cute doodles done by the Elaine Wong, the co-founder of the space. The Hatchery Place features a huge standing table made of wood pallets. It is advised to contact them as the space is by appointment and spots are limited. Since The Hatchery Place also running co-living as their core business, you will sometimes get to mingle with digital nomads who are also co-work there. One thing worth mention here is they provide good coffee, which is included in the day pass. On top of that, please beware of their super cute house kitty 'Raptor' who will come snuggle with you!
