Coworking Space: FilmFabrique in Hamburg

This is the first coworking space in Hamburg especially for film-makers. A collaborative film workspace, FilmFabrique was created in 2010 in cooperation with the Gängeviertel-Initiative where commercial and non-commercial film projects share the office space and find a platform to exchange ideas. Here creative souls of the film industry can concentrate fully on their project whilst all the mundane ho-hum tasks are looked after.

The space for those innovative professional individuals that are over working from home with kids screaming in the background, sitting all alone in an individual office when you really are a social creature, putting up with boring cohorts or listening to the espresso machine hiss in your ear all day long at the local cafe. FilmFabrique gives you an environment that is stimulating, productive and working alongside likeminded clever people.

At FilmFabrique you can rent flexible office space or an entire team office with technical infrastructure and a multifunctional studio. You will have WIFI to hook into, a printer and copier for when you want words on paper not just on a screen, the cleaning is taken care of by the fairies and there is a fully equipped kitchen to play chef in when the hunger pangs attack. Coffee and tea are free-flowing as is the networking opportunities when you can share ideas, jobs or simply relax having an aimless chitchat. There are seminars, workshops and meetups on film-specific topics, as well as a monthly After Work Club and a Tuesday weekly brunch.

You can join this dynamic community of fantasy creators (aka independent filmmakers) who operate without restrictions promoting and developing innovative models of film production through joint work, exchange of expertise and shared technology for a day, a week or a month.

The doors are open from 9am to 6pm weekdays, so you get to sleep in and muck around at the weekends.
