All about community and bringing creative minds together, CoWork-Lab is not your traditional shared-office or coworking space. The idea is simple: bring people together that would otherwise not have access to such great services and amenities, as well as nurturing a work culture unlike any other in Cologne.

An inspiring space for innovative souls where you can grab a hot desk or a fixed desk with flexible solutions to suit your needs whether it be for a day, a week or longer. If you want 24/7 access - yes talking about the workaholics here - then the fixed desk is the option you want to choose, as it will give you a business address plus the ability to work when you want to.

For those requiring an office space there are small, medium and large offices up for grabs. Small offices are perfect for a team of 2 coworkers with the option of having enough space for 1 more body if required. The large office will fit 4 individuals with the option of adding 2 more - perfect for a small startup. The open space is the heart and soul of CoWork-Lab where you get to mingle amongst likeminded people and the chance to show-off your networking skills.

You will be able to plug into seriously fast Wi-Fi (650Mbps), take advantage of the meeting room and gulp down mega cups of coffee to keep you awake and creative. Normal opening hours are from 9am to 6pm weekdays, with the weekends all yours for playtime. Oh and we almost forget, we have Craft Beer :)

Conveniently located between 2 Cologne metro stations and the Central railway station, CoWork-Lab is easy to get to via public transport. If you happen to have your own 4 wheels, there are parking options at a small extra cost.

Great working space and location

I regularly visit a friend and his partner in Köln but as they both work from home, having me as yet another person sharing their home office would get a bit too crowded. They need a good working environment just like me so I was happy to discover CoWork-Lab and work from there. With a good desk and office chair, an extra monitor (essential for a developer) and quiet surroundings I was able to work efficiently all day. Apart from lunch, that is, which wasn't hard to find as CoWork-Lab is close to the Hauptbahnhof. Didn't get to try it out this time but they have a real espresso machine as well. :-) I'll certainly be back the next time I need a working space in Köln.

Great coworking space with everything you could possibly need. The internet is excellent and there's a meeting room to take calls which creates for a quiet working environment. Access to a small fridge/microwave in case you want to bring your own lunch, tea, coffee and snacks. They were very accommodating and helpful as I had forgotten my charger and was able to borrow one. The desk was large and there was also the possibility of using a second screen. It was super easy to get to from the station and there were a bunch of places to buy food/groceries within walking distance. All in all, highly recommended.

After checking in to a hostel and finding that its WiFi was terrible I was left scrambling for a quick solution. I looked here on coworker and found that the CoWork-Lab was literally right around the corner. It was the perfect solution and at one of the most competitive prices in the city as well. I was there at 9am the next morning ready to put a days work in. The manager of the place wasn't yet on site, but after I accidentally mistook one of the regular coworkers for a member of staff for the staff they immediately took me under their wing. They got me sat down and made me a coffee from their amazing machine (which was great because this is a proper machine like you would see in Starbucks) and offered to get me set up on WiFi so I could work in the common area while I waited. The manager arrived a few minutes later and after a brief tour of the facilities I was offered the choice between a seat in a side room (if I needed to make a lot of phone calls) or a desk in the main bullpen. I was set up and productive within 15 minutes. I was left alone then and spent a full day getting work done which was perfect for me as I needed to get stuff done. Near the end of the day I got chatting with one of my neighbours and it was interesting to discuss the city from his point of view.
