Punta la Barca is an inspirational base for likeminded nomads. Think nature (deserted beach, whales..), outdoors (kitesurf, campfire, beachtennis), rural (small fishing village), local (we are young local family). The life in this village is still very different from our 'modern life' (very community-based, plenty of time, surprisingly sustainable), an inspirational environment to anyone dreaming of doing good for the world!

"The Perfect Spot:)"

    November 2017

This is a great place to work and connect with nature & culture. The amazing ocean with whales going by, beautiful small fishing town community and wifi to get all your work projects completed. This is the best for work-life balance; quiet working mornings, kitesurfing lessons in the wind of the afternoon, delicious seafood lunch, beach walks and evening laughs with locals & global conscious travelers. I love this place!

    "Amazing stay!"

      November 2017

I love this place so much!! Spent over 7 months in this amazing little town and beach. Living and working there are memories I will always treasure. I traveled all over the world and Santa Marianita is simply unique. I can't think of a better place to experience connection through slow travel with Inge and her family as hosts.

"Peace and quiet for working and/or finding yourself"

        November 2017

I really enjoyed my stay in Punta La Barca. I spent almost 3 month only in the village before I had to leave due to my visa. I had plenty of space and quiet to work on my projects. The social life, in addition, was great. Always time for a chat about how to improve the world or we just played beach tennis or I quickly went for a bit of kitesurfing. Everything was very relaxed. Often after a day of work we just sat together around a fire and chatted along. Not many local people speak English here, so some Spanish is very very helpful. But eventually, I always got what I wanted. The owner and some other none-locals speak English though.

"Great people, good internet, wonderful atmosphere, amazing spot"

          November 2017

It s a unique place.. you're totally away from the ever busy world, yet so close to nature, yourself, and surrounded with likeminded ideas. I ve seen various ideas develop from scratch to implementation, thanks to the time that you find by living in this no-stress authentic fishing village. Easy acces also to plenty of outdoor sports to relax the mind and move the body (kitesurf, beachtennis, a long deserted beach, stand-up paddle..). It is, really, a little undiscovered peace of heaven :).

          0 Thank Inge
