Coworking Space: Spaces - British Columbia, Vancouver - Space - Gastown in Vancouver

I've been here for over a year, on a dedicated desk paying ~$500 During covid they allowed a call center in a public space who were on speakerphone all day, and when I brought it up with them I was told "They allow people to be on phones". Wilfred Lee the other poster, is the manager working at spaces. You also posted twice Wilfred, might want to make it less obvious in the future. There was a huge issue with rats running around the area but that seems to be resolved. Smells like mold / mildew and even had to do a restoration process in my area, it's been work in progress for a year. They did an air quality test in the area but refused to give me the results. They have security on site now, but before there were multiple instances where peoples offices were cleaned out Internet cuts out every month. I was told that I can pay for my own Wi-Fi to be brought in (this is a dedicated desk not an office) and that there's no obligation to have internet this is at an office mind you, and they have now "instated" a rule that you can't have monitors or personal items on a dedicated desk. There's been a break in attempt (it's the bad area of Gastown) and the doors still not fixed. (edit fixed, it only took them 6 months) Junk all over the place that's been sitting on desks for a year in the main area that's belonged to some random company that they cleaned out the storage with. (when I emailed them after 6 months of dealing with it, I was told "You can bring your clients to the lobby") I've seen countless people defecating around the office space and the amount of used needles is super fun. They use some kind of in house web portal that's broken so they have double charged 3 separate people that I know of and because of their broken system they claim there's nothing they can do on their end blame it on the technology and don't do anything about it. Not only that they force ALL account changes through it so (and this has happened) if they claim you didn't terminate your lease on time they force you into another month term claiming the system didn't work and "oops". I've had my key fob not work on me 3 separate times so there was no way to get in the building, once my house keys were in my office and had to stay at a hotel overnight. This site is completely mismanaged, it seems they have no clue what they are doing. Previous staff were fired as there was an incident with them yelling at customers, and now I'm being personally harassed by one of the front desk people. I wouldn't have given them a 1 star but the fact that their actions directly interfered with my business awards them such a rating. Trying to run a business you shouldn't have to worry about your office that you pay good money for. Rent a personal office somewhere else like I ended up doing and you won't have to deal with the needles and feces' littered around the area.

Spacious layout and contemporary design in a historical building. Lots of great amenities in the building, you have to check out the rooftop patio, the view is breath-taking. The staff are welcoming, action-oriented, and always willing to go the extra mile in attending to your needs.

Like the name suggested, Spaces Gastown offers private offices in various sizes and lots of open co-working spaces that allow like-minded entrepreneurs to collaborate. The community team there is friendly and attentive, always ready to support customers with their day-to-day operation needs and help them to have a great day at work!
