A coworking venue that fosters exchanges and encounters, Temps libre offers a warm and friendly venue that is shielded from commercial interests. Its sole function is to provide an office for those that don't have an office, a meeting ground for local initiatives, a neighborhood work and study area that is a bright and bustling microcosm in the heart of Mile End. Located at the corner of Avenue de Gaspé and St-Viateur, it sits in the most vibrant sector of the Mile-End creative and entrepreneurial sector. The venue is only a 5 minute walk from Rosemont metro and 10 minutes from metro Laurier. There is even free popcorn!

The mission of Temps libre is to contribute to the emergence of friendly, commercially neutral spaces that benefit the community around them. The doors are open from 9.30 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, giving you the weekend to do your weekly chores, chase a dog in the park or laze in bed. This is where the locals, students, artists, entrepreneurs and interesting people passing by merely call in and hang out. It is a public space that is at the disposal of everyone where you can read, play, study, discuss ideas, advance your projects or meet up with your friends and colleagues.

The coworking space has been designed to offer small teams and solo flying workers a comfortable place with a community of likeminded souls involved in social and cultural innovation sectors. The open coworking space has a huge glazed facade overlooking the world and it even has a space for the kids, if you need to bring your offspring with you. There is a huge kitchen to invade when hunger pangs strike, 2 fully equipped meeting rooms, 1 brainstorming room and 2 telephone booths for those private calls. The event space is capable of accommodating 100 people for when you want to showoff or for whatever you want to host.

Coworking members have 24/7 access to the premises, unlimited high-speed Internet, printing facilities to play on, a rooftop terrace with a breathtaking view of Montreal to swan around, access to showers for when you get hot under the collar and secure storage for your bicycle.

AN ENORMOUS KITCHEN
If there’s one thing we’ve learned from our experience in coworking spaces, it’s the importance of a shared kitchen for weaving social bonds and cultivating a sense of community.

KIDS FRIENDLY
Temps libre is also the first coworking space in Canada accessible to workers with children.

MEETING ROOMS AND EVENT SPACE
Coworking members have access to two fully-equipped meeting rooms, two conference call booths, and a brainstorming room – not to mention the public space, which hosts events of up to a hundred attendees; the enormous communal kitchen; and a variety of sitting areas for socializing.

I tried a lot of coworking space in France and Canada, Temps Libre is the best in every way! Hospitality, spirit of sharing and collaboration, sympathy, funny people. There is always something to do and somebody to meet in Temps Libre. People are really creative and you can easily do something inside the space.
