Coworking Space: Spaces - Brussels, Tour & Taxis in Brussels

Great location, that's where the positive stuff ends. They claim all services are included if you rent a private office (on the website), but you have to pay for everything: meeting rooms, coffee, water, scans, prints, ... They claim your private office is cleaned, but it is never cleaned. I did that myself for a year since dust was piling up. Although already being one of the more expensive places in Brussels, they propose a 15% increase in rent for a renewal. Don't trust them if they tell you it'll be 10% at most. They claim you can work with as many people as you want in your private office, but my second badge was disabled and they refused to activate it again. Internet traffic is limited and slower than my simple Proximus connection at home. As an IT professional, that is a serious bummer. The halls are noisy, because people call in them: since meeting rooms are expensive and they only have 2 calling rooms on the ground floor. They only have one coffee machine, a tiny fridge per floor, and so much more... I have rented throughout the whole of 2021, and aside from 1 person, their personnel rarely wear their mask. So obviously, others aren't either in the public spaces, when walking around, etc... They did close all but one toilet on all floors, for our protection! Because we all know a toilet seat is where we're gonna get Covid from, right? They have trust issues, because if you invite a guest or have a coworker in the lobby, they question you every day: asking your name, company and office number. Literally every day. They now charge me a cleanup fee of 264 EUR excl. VAT at the end of my lease, because they can (it's obviously in the house rules). They handed me a dirty office full of books and stuff from the previous owner. I used my own furniture, cleaned it myself. And in return for that, I pay them.

Spaces Tour & Taxis is truly an amazing place to work. The Gare Maritime, where Spaces is located, is already very impressive. Anyone that comes will tell you that there is a real vibe and soul here. There are loads of events and exhibitions during the year so you can take time out during your break to discover new and exciting things. Concerning the center: WOW. Just a lovely place to be. The center team is great, they always go out of their way to make you feel welcome and go the extra mile for you and your team. The center is really beautiful and the decoration is outstanding. You really feel at home while being at work.
