Coworking in Dubai About Dubai
Brash and glitzy, Dubai is the international hotspot for tourists that appreciate the good things in life. Famous for its "Burj Khalifa" — the world's tallest building inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright that is a half-mile high — Dubai is home to mega shopping malls where you can enjoy a bit of indoor skiing or venture into an underwater acquarium. There is no shortage of high-end things to do in Dubai, allowing you to rub elbows with some of the richest business owners in the world. A global city and commercial hub, Dubai sits on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf and will host the World Expo in 2020. With an iconic cityscape of skyscrapers and high-rise buildings, it is the most expensive city in the Middle East, with its hotel rooms the second most expensive in the world.
There are so many sights to see and things to do in Dubai that it will have your head spinning. Whether you want to take part in some top-of-the-line retail therapy or let your inner child loose at one of the amusement parks, you can readily find something to do after a day of coworking.
Make sure you find time to trek to the observation deck of the Burj Khalifa on the 124th floor to discover its 360-degree view — with the city on one side, the desert on another, and then swivel around for a stunning ocean vista. At the base of this astounding building, you will find the Dubai Fountain set amidst lush gardens. If the museum buff in you insists on some history, the Dubai Museum can appease your intrigue, which is housed in the Al-Fahidi Fort (1787) where the walls are made of coral blocks held together with lime.
You can also head to the Old Dubai (Bastakia) area where wealthy Persian merchants once swanned around their plush homes complete with wind-towers. The area is overflowing with distinctive Arabian architecture and the narrow laneways of a long ago era. More history awaits in the Dubai Creek area, where there is the Dhow Wharfage flush with 100-year-old dhows. You can hunt down a mosque or two to enter, or visit the Deira Souks (markets) that are thriving with humanity no matter what time you are there.
