About Clarksville

Just a short drive away from Nashville is Clarksville – the fifth-largest city in Tennessee. Founded in 1785, the city was named for General George Rogers Clark, a frontier fighter, Revolutionary War hero, and William Clark’s brother (of the famous Lewis and Clark explorers). The city remains a legendary place with a rich, American history that’s reflected in the gorgeous waterfront downtown area. As one of Tennessee’s oldest cities, visitors can amble along the newly developed RiverWalk and learn all about Clarksville’s story from a historic point of view. At the same time, Clarksville is home to many young professionals with the median age of residents sitting pretty at 30, making the city a wonderful blend of tradition and youthful vibrancy.

Some points of interest in this city, apart from Clarksville’s shared office spaces, include the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center and the Roxy Regional Theatre – both great examples of the local architecture and many opportunities for entertainment. In particular, The Roxy offers 10 mainstage productions each year in a striking art-deco theatre. There are also plenty of boutiques, military sites, and dining options – from craft breweries and pub pizzas to Cajun and Greek food. And, did we mention that Clarksville is home to the Olympic Gold Medalist Wilma Rudolph?

So, why is Clarksville such a great spot for coworkers and business travelers? In 2018, the Clarksville Chamber of Commerce organized a new initiative for local entrepreneurs: a new, no-cost coworking space available Tuesdays through Thursdays in the First Tennessee Bank. Now, there are numerous coworking spaces throughout Clarksville, which strive to foster the growth of small businesses and champion the success of young professionals. Whether you’re here for months or just a few days, Clarksville has plenty of opportunities to network with fellow coworkers and check out some of the shared office hotspots in this growing city.
