Back Alley Studios is a creative space and workspace in the centre of Balmain, just off Darling street. We are just starting out on our journey to provide spaces to anyone looking to share in a friendly and stimulating environment with other like minded people as we embark on this adventure together.
Originally the bakery for Victoire, we have renovated what was once a blank and lifeless space into a quirky and interesting place, using recycled and pre love fabrics, parts and materials. We are about more than just a location for you to come and work, but also a place for you to feel inspired and supported by fellow members of the studios.
We have hot desks and private desks available for rent, as well as two private studios and a small workshop. We are very adaptable, wther you need square meters or just a desk, we will find a way to suit your needs.
Members of this space will be able to enjoy our large, repurposed kitchen that has everything you could ever need, toilet and shower facilities, as well as large living area. It is here that the heart of the space is and where we hang together on Tuesday nights for food and drinks, while we solve the problems of the world.
The studio is also really well located – just off the vibrant Darling st, and about 50m from the Woolworths in Balmain, with the city only a short, 10 minute bus ride away. Ferries to circular quay are also only a short walk and a fabulous way to start or end your day.
We are also really excited to let you know that we are the proud new owners of a commercial size laser cutter, and members of the space will have access to this machine. We also have a ute to help you move stuff as needed, and since it was us who renovated this space, we have a large variety of tools available for you to use when you need.
