About Plano

Pronounced "play-noh", Plano is a city located in the north of Texas about 32.2km north of downtown Dallas and a part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area with a population of about 259,841 residents. The city is a hub for many corporate headquarters and it was made famous as the setting for the TV series, "Dallas". For those into outdoor pursuits, it's easy to get some work done at a coworking venue in the mornings and then head to the hills in the afternoon, as trails wind through the nature preserve of "Oak Point Park" or Arbor Hills Nature Preserve that will satisfy your wanderlust for a bit of hiking.

Plano may not be a tech hub per se, but as with the rest of Texas, it's getting into new technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain technology and machine learning. Business software companies are reaping the benefit of capital funding and its early-stage ecosystem is continuing to develop with accelerators such as Sputnix ATX.

With many companies having major offices in the city, this tech savvy city has plenty of coworking venues to choose from when you need to get some work done giving you oodles of moments to go zip lining when your brain is about to implode.
