About Cardiff

A port city on the south coast of Wales, Cardiff sits where the Taff River meets the Severn Estuary. Its waterfront area has been given a makeover and now includes the Wales Millennium Center that is home for the national opera, orchestra, theater and dance companies. This is the chief commercial hub for Wales and the base for most national cultural and sporting institutions. With a population estimated to be around the 362,756 mark, it is a popular tourist magnet and ranked 6th in the world in National Geographic's alternative tourist destinations. Coworking venues have now opened up in this historic county that is a part of the Euro cities network of large European cities.

The race has begun to become Wales' first tech unicorn with standout contenders such as AMPLYFI, Wealthify and DevOpsGuys all having sky rocketing growth. There is plenty of digital tech support by way of investment and across all aspects. Cyber Wales and Tech Wales have joined businesses with universities and public sector bodies to support the challenges facing the industry on both a national and international scale.

Coworking spaces in Wales have launched the "Coworking Collective" to show their support for the growth of the Welsh tech and creative sectors.
