About Tulum

Sitting on the Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, Tulum is awash in beaches and brilliant ruins of an ancient Mayan port city. When you need to stretch your legs and get out the door of your coworking venue, you should make your way to the El Castillo (castle) precariously perched on a rocky cliff near the national park and take in the white sandy coastline with its limestone sinkholes and mangroves.

One of the last cities built and inhabited by the Maya, Tulum's beach is a protected nesting area for sea turtles. A tourist destination with an archaeological site, the town, a hotel zone and a biosphere reserve of Sian Ka'an; Tulum has an annual tourist invasion of around 2.2 million. With the advent of coworking spaces in this stunning city, it has given the local entrepreneurs and startups somewhere to collaborate and connect, plus it is a working haven for those industrious souls who may be traipsing around the globe.

With a global startup scene that is beginning to look elsewhere other than Silicon Valley, Mexico may just be the next place to be invaded by the tech nerds. Considering its low cost of living, sunny weather to die for and tequila by the bucket load, Tulum is on the radar as having it all. Mexico already has a unique startup scene, as it is a tight-knit community where everyone knows everyone else and Tulum is no exception to this. Coworking venues are taking the place of working alone at home or in a cafe, as the locals recognize that they can get in amongst other likeminded souls, gain access to networking events and seminars, plus have all of the infrastructure they need to get their stuff done at a much lower cost.
