Meet Monique Lindner, a long-term traveler, passionate dancer, beach-girl, total life-lover and mindset coach from Germany.  Here you will learn what inspires Monique, what she is working on now and why she loves coworking.

What are you working on right now?

I am working on my mindset coaching business as well as my non-profit work that I spend to help women who have experienced sexual violence.

What is your current desktop wallpaper? and why?

Huaraz, Peru

Huaraz, Peru

It is me sitting on the Laguna 69 at 4700m in Huaraz, Peru. This photo means a lot to me, it shows me I can fight through everything. On the 3-hour hike up to the top of the glacier to see the stunning laguna , one of my chronic diseases kicked in and made the ascend but also the whole experience not only a very painful one but also dangerous in a way. But getting through successfully and being able to see this wonderful piece of nature made it well worth and is reminder that nothing can hold me back.

Which book has shaped your life or changed the way you think the most?

To be honest I read so many books, I would have to make a list now. But there is one quote from one of my favorite authors (Haruki Murakami) that will always stick with me, it’s “Chance encounters are what keep us going.”

What is one thing you do to get motivated?

Dance like nobody is watching 😉

What made you smile today?

The sun and my favorite song

What is something you think everyone should try at least once in their life? Or Name one skill you think everyone should have or learn?

Everyone should at least travel solo once in their lives. As well as develop resiliency. Without both, I think life is only half fun and livable

What is one skill or hobby you’ve been meaning to learn but haven’t had time for?

Skydiving 😉

List 3 simple things in life that make you really happy:

1. Dancing

2. The Sun

3. Elephants

What is the best thing that you have done, just because you were told you can’t?

Live life on my own terms and not being the “sick girl” – doing EVERYTHING I wanted to do so far #watchme

What is your favourite coworking space and why?

HeartWork The Sharing Space

HeartWork The Sharing Space

I am not sure if I have a favorite so far, as I often work out of cafés 🙂 But I do like the Manna co-working space in Hanoi as well as I really do like the Heartwork Space in Chiang Mai, which is beautifully decorated.

Visiting Bhutan , as well as accelerating my business

As a Digital Nomad/Entrepreneur. If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you have and why?

My phone – so I can do all my work, have music to dance and be connected An eternal mobile battery – just because 😉 My scarf. I always have it and you never know if it gets cold, haha

Tell me something you have never told anyone else. (Optional)

If I could be reborn, I was a mermaid 😉

What was your first job? Has it shaped where you are today?

I was 13 years old, working in a pizzeria. It didn’t shape me as much whom I am today, rather how I will not ever cut salad again.

Any advice for your previous boss?

Sexism has nothing to do with being powerful, in fact it is a very weak move that shows your overall insecurity.

What’s your favorite part about coworking?

I love to meet new people and be able to share experiences, exchange skills & knowledge worldwide.

What is your go to pump up song?

Spice up your life – Spice Girls (90s baby 😉 ) haha oh boy.
