In the beginning The Sustainable Studio was begun by 2 sisters into fashion in an ethical and sustainable manner. In 2008 they moved to a small studio in the Women's Workshop working with local charities and organizations teaching sewing skills, pattern cutting and clothing design building strong relationships with clients from various backgrounds including refugees, asylum seekers and people from deprived areas. In 2016 there was another move as the sisters fell in love with a former munitions factory in Cardiff and the decision to make a coworking space for the creatives of Cardiff was put in motion.

Whether you are looking for a private studio or a desk to park your laptop, The Sustainable Studio can help you out at minimal monthly prices, which will give you 24/7 access to the venue. All of the studios are made from reclaimed wood and the furniture, fixtures and fittings have had a previous life somewhere else. The venue is an inspiring space to work, relax and do something amazing with a group of like-minded souls.

Coworking here will give you an awesome and collaborative community to mingle with whilst forging new relationships, as freelancers from diverse creative corners have joined. It doesn't matter whether you are painting a canvas, making clothes or need an office space for you and your team, you will find the cocoon that you need. There is a communal kitchen to invade when the hunger pangs strike and every month there is a lunch to rub shoulders with other community members and to flash your gorgeous smile. There is a separate space for privacy when making telephone calls and a chill-out seating area for when you brain is about to implode.
