Coworking Space: Altshift in Makati

I've been hosting a lot of events and workshops in Alt Shift and the feedback from my participants have always been good. The cava area is a good place to hold an event with 40-50 people. It won't feel cramped and you have room for tables on the side if you want to do 2-3 "mini booths." The staff are really helpful too! They can even help you out print last minute materials. Their coffee is pretty awesome!

So first of all the location of Altshift is not where coworker says it is - it's about 40 yards down the street on the other side of the road so my trial day began with me being lost. Lovely employee that works at Altshift however, came and met me and made me feel very welcome. There isn't much 'lounge'/open space for people to work in which is a shame but there are lots of private meeting rooms, all of which were available while I was there. Coffee isn't regularly topped up and gets a bit cold, no cold milk to accompany it and no fridge when I come to think of it too! One of the bathrooms I used had no running water which was awkward and there aren't enough bins in the space - the only one that I could find was full by lunchtime and no-one emptied it so a floor-trash-pile began. Wifi is pretty good but not as strong as some other spaces I've worked at. Good location in a nice part of Makati with nice restaurants, coffee shops and obviously a 7/11 nearby. Worth checking out for a day and if you might be a frequent user of the private office space it might be good for you, otherwise I wouldn't really bother.
