For the adrenalin junky there is paradise to be found close by to the city in the deep canyons and panoramic mountains of the national parks, such as Aparados da Serra. You can take a hike or go rappelling with a local tour company from the dusty village of Cambara do Sul. If a bit of wildlife spotting is your thing, you will find boars, foxes and ostriches slinking through the ecological diversity of these wild woods.
