Penang, Malaysia

" great space, warm atmosphere and community spirit "

The cost is very competitive especially for the monthly hot-desk plan. It is an open plan office with plenty of quiet corners and meeting room spaces. Miki and Zoey are very dedicated and organise regular activities like hackatons and conferences with local and regional companies. The space is open 24 hrs and offers a great wifi connection. Day and night, if you are working US or European timezones. It's in a very central location. The other members were a friendly community of local remote workers, with a good mix of ever-returning expats, programmers, designers, digital marketers. Group lunch (a.k.a. business lunch) was a recurring 'event'. And the great thing, there's loads of very nice and varied food stalls a block away, nice Chinese and Indian eateries across the road. Going back very soon! If only monthly accommodations were more easily available.

Tip from user

A strong espresso bar in the next block that also sells postcards. Little India food stalls are just one minute walk away.

"Best co-working space in Penang: 24/7, great events, free coffee"

May 2019

I spent several months working here, one of the best co-working spaces I encountered on my travels! For just 300 RM a month you can use this space 24/7, so no matter your working hours, there are no restrictions. You also get an allowance to use the private meeting rooms, so much in fact that you'll probably never use it all. Their website is very modern, so you can pay there with credit card or PayPal and conveniently book meeting rooms. The staff is super friendly, kind, and very helpful. They organize many events, whether it's just having lunch with your co-workers so you can get to know them more or bigger events where you will gain knowledge about a particular topic. I requested and hope in the future there will be movie screenings. As a co-worker, you get free cookies and coffee. There is a basket with other snacks, ramen noodles, and pizza like bread for which you put money in a jar. Admittedly, it can be a great temptation to eat too much sugary stuff, but they also sell delicious oranges sometimes.
