" A great collaborative space! "
aCAT Penang offers great value for the coworkers. They have stable internet, various perks and benefits, spacious common area, comfortable & productive working environment with all basic office amenities (meeting rooms, pantry, printing machine). It is located at the center of Georgetown with great access to public transportation, hostel, local food stall, restaurant and banks. It is near to some famous tourist spots such as Little India, Penang Street Art, famous historical buildings, etc. Besides, the management team constantly organizes community activities & technology/entrepreneurship related events and workshops. It is a great place to meet people from different background! Great community involvement!

"Spacious coworking space in a heritage building. Stable and fast Wi-Fi with helpful community :) A space with good vibe!"
A spacious coworking space built in a heritage building. At least two community events in a month, co-workers are friendly and helpful. There are entrepreneurs, startups, designers, programmers working here. The internet is stable and fast. Located in the heart of George Town, public transports are easily accessible, hostels are nearby. Lots of cafes around, good restaurants are within walking distance (don't forget to try the Indian food!). Space and the desks are spacious, people do not make noise in the space, good environment to be productive and focus on your work. There is an elevator at the backyard too.
"great space, warm atmosphere and community spirit"
The cost is very competitive especially for the monthly hot-desk plan. It is an open plan office with plenty of quiet corners and meeting room spaces. Miki and Zoey are very dedicated and organise regular activities like hackatons and conferences with local and regional companies. The space is open 24 hrs and offers a great wifi connection. Day and night, if you are working US or European timezones. It's in a very central location. The other members were a friendly community of local remote workers, with a good mix of ever-returning expats, programmers, designers, digital marketers. Group lunch (a.k.a. business lunch) was a recurring 'event'. And the great thing, there's loads of very nice and varied food stalls a block away, nice Chinese and Indian eateries across the road. Going back very soon! If only monthly accommodations were more easily available.
