" Great coworking space in Kuching "

If you're looking for a great coworking space in Kuching, this is it. You will be surrounded with like-minded people who are also open to go and grab lunch or dinner with you, which isn't always the case in other spaces. The managers take good care of you and try to make your stay as easy and nice as possible. There are free coffee and water, and also a soft drink dispenser. Toilets are clean and the area boast a lot of different food places. Small downside: it closes at 10 PM, so if you have to work with European or even US time zones...

Tip from user

Lot's of food options around and a 24h gym next door. Bit far out from the main area, but cheap transport with Grab and Uber.

"iCube Innovation - Paving the way for the State "

March 2018

Before iCube, there was no other coworking space of such nature in the entire State of Sarawak. Within only 3 years since its official launch, iCube Innovation has opened many doors. The concept of coworking, startup, entrepreneurship, are introduced to the people of Sarawak. A platform of networking, gathering aspiring individuals of various talent together and creating and bringing in multiple events for the local community to grow. Events that were only available outside of Sarawak such as Startup Weekend by Techstar has been carried out in different cities around the State. iCube works with multiple partners for more opportunities to groom local entrepreneurs, including Google, Peatix, numerous digital nomads who came by also shared their knowledge and skills to the locals. More than 60% of events that have been organized are free. To build and promote the coworking culture, iCube has also initiated a free coworking day on the first Thursday of every month and other coworking spaces in more than 20 other cities around the world has joined this initiative as well. Other events created by iCube that comes to my mind includes this effort of working with Rails Girls Kuching to help women understand technology, Womenwill by GBG Sarawak, bootcampes, cubetech, etc. iCube has worked with multiple local educational institutes to assist with building entrepreneurs amongst the young lot as well. Moreover, iCube also work with the federal government to help them with their familiarization of the local environment in order so that more can work together to make a difference for the people of Sarawak. Together with the State Government, iCube also plays a part in assisting to establish more coworking spaces in other parts of the State. All in all, it is impressive how much the scene has grown ever since iCube Innovation came about. The work of starting something from scratch, introducing a brand new concept that is strange to the locals, learning and providing training at the same time, playing that educator role constantly, putting giving first and profit second, iCube has indeed paved the way deserving recognition.

"Fabulous space "

March 2018

ICube is a fantastic coworking option in Kuching. The staff are super friendly, welcoming and helpful, and very receptive to the needs of location independents/digital nomads, whilst being completely committed to developing and growing the local ecosystem. Its a good place also to meet other nomads and entrepreneurs, and there are numerous work and social events, breakfast and lunch meet ups, to tap into. The space and facilities are excellent and there are some good coffee and food options nearby also, with numerous Uber/Grab taxis in the area to get you to and from your accommodation. Do come to Kuching, visit Sarawak, its a fabulous place.
