I'm an American entrepreneur spending time in Lithuania on a number of projects. I needed a place to call "work" for 6 months, and after a long analysis of my options in Kaunas, I chose Happspace Arka. It was a superb decision!
The first thing that strikes you here is the ambience. It is really on par with the best co-working spaces that I've visited around the world; the layout, interior design, furniture, make the place feel both extremely professional and incredibly comfortable. You have a choice between working at a desk in a quiet area, working in the common area where there are a variety of tables, chairs, and couches as per your need and mood. There are also 4 meeting rooms that you can make use of for private meetings, two of which are equipped with huge HD TVs, the other two with white boards. You can also catch a few winks in the sleeping pod (which is très cozy), and help yourself to free coffee and tea from the fancy coffee machine. The place is super spacious, with gorgeous views--and I must say, it is immaculately maintained. And need some printouts? You got a monster color laser printer/copier machine at your disposal.
The team here is always accessible and eager to ensure everyone is comfortable. Asta, the CEO, demonstrates her concern for her business by being around frequently. Indre, the community coordinator, is constantly available, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. It's also been a pleasure to interact with Vaide and Rusne--the entire team is upbeat, professional, and enabling. There are also regular community events (and not too regular, and not during the day time).
The wifi is rock-solid and the community here is both focused and quite cool--a perfect balance--neither too social nor too pre-occupied. The digital key makes it a breeze to access the space at anytime (one of the few co-working places in Kaunas that's open 24/7). The building is steps away from the Akropolis Mall as well as all the shops and restaurants at Laisves Aleja. You've also got a Circle K downstairs for any "mini-mart" items you could want, as well as an ATM on the first floor.
OK, what else you want?
A massage room?? OK, they got that too. Members can book a the Happspace therapist and choose from a menu of treatments at reasonable rates.
All of these factors have led me to be extremely productive; I feel incredibly energized in this space, and enjoy every minute of being here. Happspace Arka might be a bit more expensive than other co-working spaces in Kaunas, but it is, in my view, worth every penny.
Nice going, Asta and team. Happspace Arka rocks!
