Coworking Space: La coroutine in Lille

A "real" collaborative coworking space from sharing the washing up of the dishes to watering the plants, feeding the stove to welcoming newcomers, La Coroutine is the place to create, learn and share. Easily accessible via the Mairie de Lille metro station, the space is warm, the people friendly and you can actually get your stuff done. Managed and funded by the users, La Coroutine is more like a home away from home than merely a coworking space.

The doors are open from 9am to 7pm weekdays, although if permanent members are present at night it may stay open longer. You can even rent the whole venue for your own personal use at night if you want to hold an event or have a show-off presentation moment.

Its coworking members fall into 2 categories, those that are fleeting and those that are permanent. You can join for an hour, a day, a week, 1 year or your whole life, if that is what you want. La Coroutine attracts creatives, disrupters, hackers, professional freelancers, startups and entrepreneurs from all walks of life. You merely show up at the door and get down to your daily routine in a totally collaborative space of convivial souls.

There are 20 coworking hot desks available and you can choose your own spot on arrival. If you are a permanent worker you will have the perks of a screen if you wish to be snuggled into your own space plus a locker to stash your goodies in. There is a meeting room that can hold up to 15 people complete with video projector, black board and paperboard, if you want to have intimate meetings or brainstorming sessions with cohorts.

The bar area has fair trade organic coffee and tea on offer, board games to thrash an opponent, also comfy couches where you can relax and chat with your new best friends. Other quirky additions include an organic local market every Monday evening, cooking vegetarian lunch dishes for an all-in feast and you will find DIY tools and hardware such as a soldering iron, a drill etcetera for those that wish to get into handyman mode building a prototype.
